I might have already written my review here but... Dr Seltman was incredible. She made me feel as comfortable as possible and explained the procedure to me in a way that put me at ease. The entire team, including nurses and anesthesiologist, were all incredibly comforting and made sure I was feeling as relaxed as possible. Before and after the surgery I was embarrassed and worried about the scar it would leave behind, but after officially seeing it I am so impressed with her work. Without inspecting the area you would have no idea that I had surgery or a scar. I cannot thank her enough for helping me with this problem. If anyone is in need of the same procedure (Bascom Cleft Lift) I would HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr Seltman and the Columbia Surgical Team.

Dr. Seltman was truly amazing. I had a difficult decision to make about a major surgery and she didn't jump right to recommending surgery but approached my situation in a "wait and see" manner. When it became evident that I would need the surgery she was very patient with my endless questions, ruminations, and google search panic. She asked me simply - twice - so I could hear her - to let her take care of me and she did just that. It wasn't pleasant - no surgery is - but she helped me navigate the terror and uncertainty with her calm and professional presence.
