Dr. Gilsdorf - I have been having painful shoulder issues for a long time. I decided to see Dr. Gilsdorf. Our first visit was pleasant. he determined that I have frozen shoulder syndrome. I was instructed to go to PT for 6 weeks before seeing him again. Upon going to PT for 2 weeks, my pain worsened to the point where I could not use my arm much. The PT suggested I stop for a while and request a MRI. She said she will vouch for me. My second visit with Dr. Gilsdorf was not so pleasant anymore. He "yelled" at me for quitting PT. He did not want to hear what I have to say or explain why the PT suggested I pause the therapy. He did not even examine my shoulder. He just poked at one area and said " does that hurt?" "No?" Then basically said I am not going to do a surgery on you. He abruptly said I will order a MRI for you and dismissed me with a wave of his hand to the door with a cold face . Very unprofessional and uncaring. I know my body and I have very high pain tolerance.

Dr Gilsdorf was an in call surgeon when I suffered a major leg injury and infection. He performed the surgery at the ER. I’ve seen him in his office twice and say enough good about him, his expertise and the staff within his practice. I gladly give him 5 stars.

Dr. Gilsdorf has a great personality and great bedside manner. An excellent surgeon. Has operated on my for meniscus repair and the outcome was as expected with very little pain.
