M. Shane Mcnevin's Online Review Report Card

Took my dad in for an appointment with Dr McNevin. His staff were beyond rude. My dad is in his 70’s has suffered a stroke which makes seeing and filling out paperwork challenging for him. I did my best to help him, but I didn’t know all of the information. The ladies at the reception desk made us wait over an hour and let other patients with later appointment time go ahead of us because we didn’t fill out the paperwork entirely. If we had any other option for his needs we would NEVER return to that office.The Dr himself and other staff were friendly and helpful, but the front desk staff were very unprofessional!

Dr. McNevin and his staff are always professional and friendly!! He’s the best Doc for “gut” issues that I’ve ever had!!BRAVO 🎉👍

Can’t say enough about Dr. McNevin. Straight and to the point but the man knows his craft. Surgery is always stressful and it’s good knowing I’ve got a great surgeon in my corner.

Dr McNevin is awesome, did my surgery, explained everything and gave me realistic expectations for what to expect post op. The entire staff is really wonderful, from the front office to the surgical team everyone was professional, very pleasant and they're all great at what they do. Extra credit for Meagan, besides being a fantastic MA, she took care of all the fmla paperwork and coordinated efforts to ensure all my needs were met from the first visit right through recovery.

He care about money not patients. I wouldn't recommend him to someone I hate. My local dr put in for a consult. He said I had to go there. This was when I was newly diagnosed with stage IV cancer. It was 4 hours away and early in the am so I had tonget a hotel and spend the gas when I was already broke from not working. But I was trying to survive so I was told it was necessary. He spent less than 5 minutes to tell me and my caregiver that he wasn't going to do surgery, seemed not familiar with me case so he probably looked at it before he came in. No other prep. And of course wanted me to pay 200$ (about 50$ per minute he spent on my case) just to be told ne surgery and it is now standard practice to do chemo first... and couldn't have had the courtesy to tell this to my local dr. Of course chemotherapy lead to a colon collapse and emergency colonoscopy. But he is what is wrong with our medical system. Greedy and not caring. I complained. At the time. Office didn't care. Dr didn't care. A year later I still get collection calls.

Awesome doctor/surgeon!! Clear and concise direction with a blunt honesty. Exactly who I needed to find.

Dr. McNevin is one of the best colorectal Drs. there are. Him and his staff are very compassionate about their patients. He explained everything prior to the surgery and he did a great job. I would recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr. McNevin for all you have done.Laurel R

My experience was relatively short but in that time McNevan made medical decisions without me and wouldn't ever talk to me or return calls. He refused to remove a stitch that was causing more harm than good but informed me through his assistant that the stitch was "permanent" until I had reconstructive surgery that I had previously told him I wasn't doing. After the procedure where he put the stitch in, he never met me at discharge to talk about how things happened or what he had seen. After talking to others, I had been told that his terrible bed-side manners weren't anything new. I really should have read other reviews about this guy as the negative ones are too accurate.
