List of Matthew Vernon's Reviews
Great experience very informative.
Dr. Vernon is pleasant and took the time to get to know me and asked pertinent questions. I felt very comfortable with him. There is a lot of construction going on at the clinic and I hope it addresses the waiting/check-in area issue. People currently sit and wait right behind you while you check in and divulge personal information. Hopefully once the construction is completed, there will be a little separation.
I was treated by Dr. Vernon mostly for hypertension and diabetes for about 18 months. Issues: 1. Billing - I was charged more money to ask a quick question. At an annual exam I was charged for both the annual exam and a regular appt. My insurance company felt that it should have all been covered under the annual exam, but Dr. Vernon would not change it. 2. Meds - I asked Dr. Vernon to renew a prescription that I was on with a previous doctor. I brought the medication bottle to the appointment so there were no questions. He called in a different medication and didn't counsel me on it. I called Dr. Vernon's office and asked them to fill the correct one. I was told I'd need to come in for another visit to discuss it. This situation happened twice. I've since changed providers and am on a different oral diabetes medication now that is controlling my sugar much better. The irony is the med I am on is one I asked Dr. Vernon about and he said it wasn't effective and was expensive.
Dr. Vernon is very friendly, easy to talk to, and great at his job. I would refer anyone I know to him. He listens and cares about what you have to say and has been very professional when dealing with every issue I've dealt with.
On time appt. Doc was engaged. Went over labs.j
Dr. Vernon was very friendly and efficient. We discussed the need for a few shots, but agreed they were not necessary. We discussed whether to increase my blood pressure medicine and decided not to at this time. He recommended my continued taking of my blood pressure daily at home to collect more data.He recommended an evaluation of another colonoscopy since the last one was in 2016 (5 years ago) and one of my brothers died of colon cancer in 2009.
Dr Vernon is not my regular Dr, but since she was busy he was able to see me. I was quite impressed by how friendly he was and that put me to ease about my situation, if i was changing drs i would see him
I had an appointment scheduled as a new patient and I was never informed when the appointment was and it was never put into the MyChart app, then I received a letter in the mail stating I had missed my appointment. So I called the office to reschedule and found out that Dr. Vernon has blocked me from being a patient, I find this to be very unprofessional as I was never given a reminder and the appointment doesn’t even show on the MyChart app. I would encourage everyone to not use a medical professional that will not see someone they know nothing about. All for 1 missed appointment.
Great experience, very professional!
Dr. Vernon was personable, professional, and took time to assess and deal with my questions and concerns. I was nervous when I walked in, and when I left I was reassured that I was in good hands and had a course of action. Truly recommend Dr. Vernon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
