List of Vikram Gill Md's Reviews
I don't know why he has such a bad rating! His staff is terrible, but he is awesome.
I find Dr. Gill to be completely lacking of empathy and compassion. He refused to send me for an ultrasound or blood work after having dealt with constant pain. My fertility doctor sent me for an ultrasound and I paid my naturopath to get blood work done to find out I have liver cysts. He was rude to me when I talked about the supplements I take on recommendation of my naturopath and couldn’t tell me why I shouldn’t take a D3/K2 supplement and that “I don’t even know what half of these are”. He became cross that I didn’t fill a prescription for an ailment I knew I didn’t have, telling me, “if it hadn’t worked, we would have been able to eliminate that as an issue for you.” Thank you, captain obvious, but I’m not taking medication to eliminate my options. I want to figure out the root cause. His newest RPN was nice, compassionate, and actually listened.
This Doctor is an example of what is seriously wrong with our health care system. To often we hold Doctors in high esteem and they have gotten away with it for so long . This " Doctor" is the worst I have every encountered. Such an unempathetic, unprofessional and disinterested individual. God help all those who have this man as their doctor
I feel as though every time I need to make an appointment that it is not taken seriously, the appointments are always under 5 minutes (always a phone call) and I can sense that I already have anxiety over my poor experiences everytime I need an appointment. I had to advocate for myself over and over regarding getting a test and even when it came back that I had it I was given very little information and was told it was mild. I had my baby during 2020, I have NEVER been asked how I was doing/feeling during the lockdowns and isolation even though I answered the questionnaire that I was experiencing being overwhelmed, depression, anxiety. Each appointment with my child is barely 5 minutes- there is little to no conversation regarding overall health, it really truly feels that I swipe my health card and receive little to no care.
My daughter went to him with depression and he told her to wait, she will grow out of it
Dr. Gill is very rarely in the office so a month wait for an appt is the norm. He has no other practice so not sure what is the problem. It seems he only works parttime but gets paid by OHIP fulltime. The referral staff are terrible and do not book referrals in a timely manner (sometimes months just for them to send it) and I have arrived at a specialist office to find out the referral was for investigation of the wrong body part). There is never any follow up after patients are referred to a specialist (even if the specialist has recommended the family doctor prescribe a certain course of action) I have to call to make an appt a month down the road to get results of any specialist visits or xrays even if the specialist recommended physiotherapy or MRI. Prescription refills take more than a week. My pharmacist says the Boardwalk is the worst medical office in KW for trying to get a response to prescription renewal requests. Phones are answered only select hours on certain days of the week and often with an hour on hold. Dr. Gill is loathe to give notes for any alternate medical treatment such as massage and refuses to discuss stool sample test results if done by a Naturopath. He seemed reluctant to send me to a surgeon to remove a growth that turned out to be skin cancer. Good thing I insisted. When I do get to talk to Dr Gill he seems nice enough and knowledgeable but I have not seen him in person for more than 2 years even though other doctors resumed seeing patients in person a year ago. I do not know if he is the problem or if it is the management of The Boardwalk clinic but it is really terrible service. And why is he never in the office for weeks at a time every time I try to book an appt and I end up waiting a month? This is not acceptable medical treatment.
Many of the comments about his demeanour and attitude that are mentioned below are the same as what I would comment. It's just sad. I wonder why he is like that.
Dr. Gill is excellent in every way. I am super glad to have him as my doctor. The pandemic has been hard all around and I appreciate all the work he does.
His visit with patients is between 2 and 5 min max and covid has become the general excuse for poor medical care. I continue to struggle with all the problems I have brought to his attention and one condition has gotten worse. His response: "I wouldn't worry about it"
I am unfortunately stuck with this doctor Vikram Gill for the last so many years now since my doctor moved to new place. He has no empathy as he didnt want to take me as a patient after my doctor moved and he had to accept the old clients. An absolutely garbage person, has no sense and respect for his clients and patients. He has never helped in any of my health issues and I am till day struggling and trying to solve my problems with natural and home remedies. He lacks knowledge as every time he opens the internet and search for the problem and brings the treatment from there. Not sure if he has a medical degree form here or somewhere else . He has no courage to discuss openly with the patient for the health issue, wants to see and hear all problems before the meeting, keeps asking send me the picture of the health issue so he can google and do better research...I asked him for a naturopathic note and he denied. I am going to report hi for cooperating with the patient for the needs. As if this google doctor is paying for naturopath visits for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
