Dr Hu was great . Professional,great bedside manner,kind and she was very quick to get my tests done ,diagnosed and booked for surgery. . I would recommend Dr.Hu to everyone. I wanted to hug her but due to covid I could not . Amazing nurses and supporting surgery staff. Made me feel safe and very comfortable and confident with the whole team. ??????

I have a cyst in my throat which makes me very uncomfortable. I went to Dr. Amanda Hu to see if this cyst is good and bad. She suggested to take out the cyst. The surgery was done, but my tonsils on both sides were taken out, however, the cyst remains in my throat. And the cut in my throat are still painful even after almost two months. She took out wrong part from my throat.

Arrogant and condescending. Insinuated I was lying about my condition. Pushes meds but won't provide proof of efficacy or studies of meds - said I wasn't smart enough to read medical literature. Won't see HER again.

She is in vancouver now and like others said she does not listen to all your concern and if she tells you that this is what she found she already made up her mind and just shrugs you off. She has a poor judgement

Not impressed with this doctor. Prescribed very expensive treatment without advising me of cheaper options. She's also a medication pusher of very expensive medications. I also found her to be sarcastic.

She is completely insensitive, rude, and useless. She is now in Vancouver, but it looks like her attitude has not changed. She is quick to judge and does not read anything.

She works in Vancouver now. I was happy to see her as I have been having tightness in my neck since my surgeries several years ago. I explained my diagnosis of Thyroid Cancer to her and she said: “It’s the best cancer you can have. If you were to choose any cancer, it would be that.” It felt like a knife in the heart. That comment was cruel and insensitive. I hope I never have to see her again. NO CANCER IS THE BEST CANCER. After 2 surgeries, 2 rounds of radiation, a divorce, being on disability, having my life turned upside down and possibly not being able to have children now, I really don’t think it was the best cancer. Thank you for humiliating me. She made the comment before I was examined so the rest of the appointment was torture. She did do the examination with no problems, so I’ll give her that.

She is very knowledgeable, detailed and did a great job of my vocal cord surgery! She was very punctual and her staff arranged for everything and my follow up. I had a great experience and would recommend her to anyone.

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from her, lack of knowledge to diagnosis the problem not being consistent in her comments .....just an arrogant ...worse experience I have ever had
