List of Keays Medical Group's Reviews
Office is clean and welcoming and the office staff are nice and friendly, although sometimes somewhat disorganized. There was a also significant delay issue with their billing. I was willing to put up with many questionable circumstances here to get help for my fibromyalgia and chronic, long-term treatment-resistant depression, and the services offered here may be helpful to some. However, if you are looking for kind, understanding, and authentic care, I cannot recommend you go here. While Dr. Keays initially seems genuinely sympathetic and claims to want to build a relationship of trust with you, her actions do not align with these claims. I had a series of horrible interactions with her where she displayed intolerance, judgement, and an entrenched, ableist attitude. When confronted about her basic lack of understanding of the relevant situations, she refused to listen, instead preferring to stick to her incorrect and insulting assumptions, ambushed me without warning immediately preceding a treatment session that required being calm, and generally displayed a patronizing and condescending attitude. If you have a chronic illness, be cautious for the sake of your mental health - any legitimate questions (such as clarifications on her program), concerns or complaints (about the extremely uncomfortable chairs and staff interruptions during your treatment) will be either dismissed, misinterpreted, or completely ignored. While this clinic offers the base of some very sound treatment plans and potentially helpful services, they are not at all able to be comprehensive, especially regarding adequate mental health awareness and care. Listening to one's patient should be a pillar of safe and effective treatment. Treating chronic issues holistically requires an awareness and knowledge of mental health issues. Both of these were lacking at this clinic, a clinic which claims to put patient needs first and to "treat holistically." You may be able to get help here, but if you do, be advised that if your mental health is particularly at risk, you will need to be on guard. Protect yourself more than even you would to go to your primary care physician or other dismissive and uncaring specialists you may have encountered. I would not put any trust in this clinic in these regards. Also, there is frequently a cute dog there if that is either a lure or deterrent. You WILL be pressured to hold it, whether you want to or not.
Keays clinic says that it specializes in treatment of depression and anxiety. My daughter called me after leaving the clinic crying and saying she wanted to kill herself after a conversation with Dr. Keays in which Dr. Keays insinuated she was exaggerating her symptoms and needs, that although she was never told what the missed appointment policy was that she was taking advantage of it, and that she asked too many questions about her own care. There was no safety or suicide assessment done after this clearly distressing meeting. I tried many times to clarify with Dr. Keays and Keays clinic what had happened. I was told that I also had a problem was with the "missed appointment policy." I was ignored when I repeated that my issue was not with the policy, but with not letting my daughter explain that she was told that the appointment had been cancelled, and that she had never seen a missed appointment policy, so did not know what the policy actually was. After I discussed my concerns about my daughter's safety, and that she left the clinic in a clearly distressed state, Dr. Keays said that because of "philosophical differences" she would no longer treat me as a patient. Within 20 minutes I got a text from my pharmacy saying my antidepressant would not be refilled. I was not given resources, nor time to find resources, in order to continue my own treatment for depression. As a person suffering from anxiety and depression, this naturally increased my symptoms. Keays clinic, and specifically Dr. Keays, purports to be caring, yet when she (incorrectly) believed something, she would not listen to explanations, verbally attacked, and cut off necessary treatment. She never re-focused her attention to address my daughter's suicidality or safety. "The stigma of depression and mental health stigma is the primary reason that 80% of people suffering from mental health issues do not speak up and do not seek help. Forty million people in the United States suffer from depression. That means that approximately 25 million people suffer from depression in complete silence. This is one reason that approximately 40,000 people per year attempt suicide." (Project helping)
I have been seeing Dr. Keays since January 2021 after a long-overdue Fibromyalgia diagnosis. Admittedly, my first impression was that she came off as a bit "too nice" for me-- I was certain I needed an aggressive approach to wellness and wasn't entirely convinced that diet and counseling were the key to my 'recovery'. Having now completed the program, and consistently seeing Dr. Keays and Lucas Briggs (Physical Therapy) for over a year, I can say that this office is beyond compassionate, caring, and is focused on the patient's overall health and wellness. I feel very validated and supported when I am in their care; so much so, that my daughter is now also a patient here. The front desk works hard to accommodate our availability and streamline our visits. I am sleeping better than I have in decades. Lucas is a wealth of knowledge and makes you feel so comfortable. Dr. Keays has Fibro herself, and treats her patients like an extension of her family. I know I'll never be cured, but it's a huge relief having a clinic that believes you and wants to help you live your best life.
Absolutely changed my life. I was beyond wanting to live anymore and when I started TMS treatment things changed very quickly. I am happier than I have been in a very long time. The staff is amazing. They make you feel like family.
Dr Keays is the most kind and compassionate Doctor I've ever been to. She listens, reflects and validates how your feeling and tells you how she's going to treat and support you. She's so knowledgeable she could confirm exactly how I was feeling before I even told her. She offers advance testing no other Doctors had offered before. I really appreciate her! Office staff are also very kind and personable.
Keayes Medical Group is where I learned that my Fibromyalgia storms will not last forever. How I manage my “flares” will determine both how long they last and how debilitated I am by them. I have learned so much about how to lessen my chances of having a flare and also how to shorten the duration of my flare. I cannot day enough about this incredible group of giving, warm, loving people who have kept so many of us going. Even during a pandemic we are welcomed and greeted warmly, listened to and treated gently and with great care. Every time I enter the offices I am thankful. So blessed to have found you! Thank you so very much for what you have given me! ❤️
The staff is great. I had a wrinkle happen and there was a misunderstanding about my treatment options. I was very upset and Dr. Keays called me after hours to straighten things out. I really recommend this medical group for successful depression and anxiety TMS treatments and personalized patient service.
The Keays Integrative Medical Team is by far the beat group of people dedicated to your overall care. They always treat me with care and compassion. They answer all my questions and have treated not just my fibro but the depression that comes with it. They always remind me they are there for me and to call for an appointment anytime things go downhill. I appreciate all the support I get. On my first few appointments I was amazed at the information I got and the immediate testing for anything else I had going on. I could not give a higher recommendation.
Dr. Bakken truly cared about me. Dr. Keays showed ZERO interest in me. I am very disappointed in how I was treated by Dr. Keays. Hopefully, I will be able to find another physician who truly cares about his or her Fibromyalgia patient(s).
I have been seeing Dr. Keayes and Mercedes for approximately a year and a half. They have literally saved my life. Their office is the best medical care I have received in years. I was passed from doctor to doctor, no one cared about me or the pain that I was in, as far as the other doctors felt, I was a fraud and only wanted drugs, which was the exact opposite of what I wanted. Within a few months, under the care of Keays Medical Group, my pain was being relieved, I was able to walk better, my memory was becoming clearer and most of all, I was regaining my will to live again. I highly recommend this office to anyone who has Fibromyalgia, they will change your life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
