Brian Scheele Md's Online Review Report Card

He misdiagnosed me, and lied on my medical chart regarding my medical condition. He did this all while never once visiting with me. The nurses said he is usually on a ego trip but it gets worse when he proved wrong. Kinda seems like a wrong personality trait for an emergency room doctor. Was in the ER for over 8 hours and only spoke to nurses.

He was very kind

I was admitted to the ER with BP 165/105 and a pulse of 115BPM. I was scared. I have Prolonged QT and can't take any chances with the fluctuation of my vitals. I went to the ER thinking I would be treated with care and positive regard, but was met with defiance, rudeness, coyness, and a down right all mighty God complex by Dr. Scheele. In speaking with him about what brought me to the ER, I explained what transpired. I further explained that I know my body better than anyone. I keep a close count of my food intake, my exercise schedule, and BP and Pulse at the guidance of my cardiologist. Firstly, Dr. Scheele wouldn't hardly let me get a word in edgewise, and in speaking with him he continue to roll his eyes at me to a point where I said, "Please don't roll your eyes at me.' I am scared and I don't understand what is going on. He told me I was compulsive to a point of an obsession and did not take my concerns to heart, so to speak. He ended up admitting me to the hospital, gave me two shots of 1mg ativan and 2 doses or morphine. I tried to wiped the slate clean by saying, "Maybe we got off on the wrong foot" and he smugly replied, "I'll treat you as if you were my sister." I felt discriminated against after I informed him that I wasn't sure if what was going on was a real issue with my heart and BP or due to anxiety/panic disorder. If you read this Dr. Scheele, let me offer some gentle guidance. Please treat your patients with positive regard. After all, you are the expert in your field and as patients we put our trust and faith in you. Please don't demean us, reprimand us, or dismiss us with your words and actions. Your behavior made my experience at WARMC worse and heightened my sense of worry, panic and fear. I cannot help what happened to me. I still have no answers as to why the sharp increase in BP, Pulse, and Chest discomfort, but I do trust I'll find answers once I follow up with my caring and professional primary care physician and cardiologist. In the mean time, I hope, should I ever be admitted again under any pretense that we start with a better foundation of mutual respect, positive regard, and being open to not only listening to what is said, but also hearing what is being spoken. I fully understand the pressures ER physicians face, but please try to understand the patients also face the pressures of being scared, not understanding the complexity of medical diagnosis and treatment, and most of all dealing with panic when it feels like this may just be the end of one's life.

This doctor was the most arrogant, rude and insensitive person I've ever experienced the medical field. I came in with trouble swallowing and lymphedema. When I arrive my blood pressure was 184 over 100 and at one point my heart rate was 112. When he first saw me he said there's nothing I can do for you! After telling him I'm seeing a neurosurgeon in town he eventually ran a few tests. The male nurse I had was great! I work for Medical people in the community. I will be looking into his conduct!
