List of Jennifer Paek's Reviews
I was concerned about my first visit with Dr. Paek after reading a couple of negative online reviews. Instead of canceling my appointment, I decided to follow through and give her a chance. I went in for a full body skin check and found her to be professional, friendly, and thorough. She gave me enough time to share any concerns and I left the office feeling confident in her expertise. I'm glad I kept my appointment with her and plan to return in a year.
Does NOT listen to the patient experience, is always in a rush (literally would have one foot out the door during my appointments), was threatened by me advocating for myself/participating in my plan of care. Her bio in Cascade Eye and Skin is hilarious to me— she is far from personable. I work in a medical clinic, so I know how patients CAN be treated with patience, respect and compassion for what they are going through. Avoid her at all costs.
second time with her, you dont discuss all why there. Filing a compliant w my insurance and her superior, want my deductable back, very condescending, requires more tests for more out of pocket. Dont recommend and ive had wonderful doctors at cascade skin.. not my favorite place since covid with their change of doctors
I recently went to see Dr. Paek at Cascade Eye and Skin Center in U.P. and she did not appear to be personable. The visit seemed rushed from beginning to end and she did not take the time to explain things to me. She appeared to have a flat affect. I went in for a cyst that continues to fill and drain, causing the skin around it to be sensitive. Dr. Paek, who had on rubber gloves, went over this area repeatedly without any lubrication, which was painful for me. Have you ever rubbed rubber over a large blister or sore? It doesn’t feel great. It just seemed like I was another number or pay check for her and she didn’t care. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere to schedule the minor surgery as I didn’t trust her.
As I arrived for my visit, Dr. Paek was fastidiously cleaning another exam room as her Assistant led me into my own. After answering her intake questions, the Assistant left momentarily and returned with the Doctor. My first impression was that Dr. Paek is a bright and shiny person who made me comfy right away. I was there for a cancer screening of my face, and had the same done here at this clinic 4 years ago by a different doc. Dr. Paek addressed each area of concern, explained what each issue was, let me know which were of no concern and treated the rest. She took the time to look at a spot on my hand as well that concerned me, and independently asked if she could examine my upper torso as I am so fair skinned. She gave me a good looking over from the waist up which I truly appreciate. The previous review I read here must be for a different person altogether, it in NO WAY describes the caring, attentive physician who I just asked to be my skin Doc going forward. 5 stars.
If I could rate a zero, I would. Don’t let her credentials fool you—not all MDs are created equal and Dr. Paek is one that practices with her piss poor attitude. I found it laughable that her website states that it is “her mission to be personable and engaging to ensure a positive patient experience.” I assure you she is anything but—she was dismissive towards my daughter’s concerns and was extremely socially inept. If you need dermatology care you can certainly do better and deserve better.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
