This doctor seemed to think my problem was hilarious. She ridiculed me with eye rolls and dumb responses when I asked her questions about my pelvic floor collapse. She told me to "wait until the poop is actually down there before you try to push it out" when I told her my collapse was so bad that I can't poop. Does she think I'm five years old? She did not offer any advice about how to manage not being able to poop or pee due to the collapse but would not do surgery either. I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.

I am a retired nurse of 39 years. I was was referred to Dr. Bunten for a gynecology consult. She was so knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, and caring. She gave me options as to what could be done both conservatively and/or surgical. She also gave me the risk factors of each option. She took time to answer each and everyone of my questions to the degree I understood. I would have no hesitation in referring Dr. Bunten to my family and friends.

I saw a lot of medical staff at the Vancouver Clinic about my possible miscarriage. Most the staff bungled my case, and I had concerns about complications. Dr. Bunten took the time to listen to my concerns and provided explanations. I was shuffled around and deeply depressed for almost a month. She went above and beyond to ensure that my situation would be resolved in a timely manner. I would definitely go back to her for prenatal care next time. Its rare that I trust a doctor but I trust her.

I was told I was having a miscarriage but it wasn't really behaving like a normal miscarriage. I was passed around among medical personnel not getting an answer about what, if anything, was wrong. Eventually they scheduled me with Dr. Bunten and she took the time to listen to my concerns provide explanations and went above and beyond to get the situation resolved once and for all in a timely manner. After almost a month of not knowing and depression Dr. Bunten has given me a light at the end of the tunnel. My baby is still gone but there isn't anything seriously wrong with me, and I finally have an answer. Now I can begin healing from this.
