He gets an average rating because he did a good job on my husband's knee as far as we know but I choose not to use him as he told me "that he would see if he could fix it or not when he got in there". I got a second opinion and selected a surgeon that knew how to do the repair that I needed without question. So for normal meniscus tears he might be fine but if you have anything that requires more than that, I suggest get a second opinion.

If zero stars was an option this POS would get just that. Botches surgeries left and right and plays coy as though he does no wrong. Avoid this ''Surgeon'' at all costs!

Had my surgery at legacy 8/17 for a complete knee replacement! Everything Dr. Cornelius & staff said to expect during the pre Op visit went like as said. I can't speak to others experience, but I've had a great experience with this doctor & staff! My surgery was 8/17 and Im walking without pain or problems! Thanks??

Had a complete knee replacement 8/17 and the surgery & recovery & rehab happened just as discussed. The doctor & staff were great on the follow up too! I had a very positive experience and will have my other knee done by Dr. Cornelius & staff because everything went so well!

Dr. Cornelius replaced my knee and left globs of cement on the side of the appliance, resulting in a knee replacement revision by a different surgeon after two years of near constant pain. Of course, I wasn’t even allowed to request a second opinion for a year as the cement rubbed continually on the back side of the IT band. 48 PT sessions did not correct the issue and it has resulted in long tern hip issues. His staff and him were unresponsive or sarcastic to requests for help with pain management other than pushing narcotics. Would not recommend him for a knee replacement.

I do not recommend this doctor. I have a blood clotting disease which he was aware of. I followed the pre-surgery protocol setup and agreed upon by him and the oncologist. I bled considerably during surgery and this doctor couldn’t handle it, even though the Rx I was instructed to take has instructions right on their website! I ended up with a nearly 25 lb thigh and knee full of blood after surgery. Two blood transfusions. It couldn’t be drained. It left a large lymphedema that remains now three years later. He never came to the hospital during the entire two weeks I was there to check on me. When I went back for my check up and asked him if that huge lymphedema was going to ever go away, he responded with the question, but does your knee work? Worst. Doctor. Ever. True story.

My visit with this doctor was HORRIBLE!!!!!! This doctor's bedside manners were vacate. He was not approachable to any of my concerns that I had. He was very rude, and showed lack of compassionate towards my situation. When leaving his office, my concerns were not addressed. His attitude towards me was very dismissive, and unprofessional.

Both my knees were replaced by Dr. Cornelius and his team. The first on 10/30/18, the second on 1/29/19. So far it is going very well! My experience with Dr.Cornelius and his team was great. I must say up til this point, it has been the best overall surgical experience I have had. Thank you all.
