My significant other was showing obvious signs of an ulcer and possibly hernia. We had a telehealth visit with Dr. Nordstrom explaining symptoms and asked for the appropriate diagnostic testing. Dr. Nordstrom proceeded to deny us any diagnostics citing that testing is “expensive” and he did not “believe” that my significant other had an ulcer or a hernia. He also mentioned my significant other had testing and an endoscopy a few years ago and that no ulcer was found. There was no reasoning with this man and the only solution he offered was a medication that my significant other had already used for several years that would have made his existing symptoms worse. We felt so defeated, unheard, disrespected, and neglected. Within 2-3 weeks we saw an excellent GI specialist who ordered testing based on the EXACT same description of symptoms we provided Dr. Nordstrom and my loved one was properly diagnosed with a Stage 4 ulcer and received appropriate treatment. To make matters worse Dr. Nordstrom billed us $535 for 20 minutes of wasting our time. Happy to see based on reviews that he is listening to some patients. I hope this review serves as a reminder that all patients deserve to be heard and their symptoms taken seriously.

Upon being referred to Dr. Nordstrom he quickly diagnosed my problem of Crohn's disease, explained the medication options to me in a clear manner, and then fought with insurance to get me my preferred choice covered (while insurance tried to force me to use an alternative treatment). He was everything you could ask for and more in a GI doctor.

I really like Dr. Nordstrom. He takes my symptoms seriously and always asks my opinions regarding his suggested treatment plan. I can tell he cares about his work and his patients because he said to me at the end of the appt, "please update me on how things go and which treatment option worked for you, if any. That way, I can use that info to better help other patients."

Would be nice if they actually answered their phones to schedule an appt. Been calling several times a day for over a week sometimes waiting an hour and no one answers. ☹

Excellent experience with Dr. Nordstrom. In my pre-op appointment and in my colonoscopy he was thorough and professional, explained everything to me, and was very courteous and helpful. He spoke language I could understand so I could understand exactly what would, and then did, happen.
