Dr. Upham is an amazing Dr she helped me get the care I needed for a fractured ankle. Her bedside manner was great, the way she explained everything to me was in a way I could understand and was very pleased with! Thank you Dr. Upham
Went to my appointment thinking that I was going to get my left knee and left ankle evaluated from the same injury that was not the case. I was told at the end of my visit that my ankle was not going to be evaluated and that I was going to have to reschedule. If I would have know at the beginning of my appointment that it was going to be one or the other I would have picked my ankle since at this time Im having the most problems with it. I left very upset I should have been given the time needed to have both evaluated since it was from that same injury or at least a choice between the two.
I am/was seeing a sport medicine doctor, Dr. Nina Upham at TVC in Salmon Creek, due to a hand work injury. I have seen her twice now and will never see this doctor ever again! She has the worst bedside manner and is SO rude, condescending, lacks compassion, acts like she is annoyed you are there, has absolutely no personality, and seems miserable. If you are that unhappy with what you do then find another job NOT with patients!!!! I was going to therapy for my hand, but the therapy made my hand feel more painful. The therapist and I discussed how we would hold off on therapy until I see Upham again and see what she says about it. Well, at my appointment I told Upham what was going on and why I stopped therapy, and she challenged me on why I stopped. I explained what the therapist and I talked about and the doctor pretty much called me a liar! She pulled up the note from the therapist and pointed to a section that said I am to go to therapy 1 time per week for 8 weeks. These were the therapist orders but not what we had discussed, which I told the doctor. She then asked if I even read the chart notes after my appointment and how I need to do that. I also explained again how painful therapy was and she flat out told me it didnt matter and I still needed to go! She couldnt even explain to me why therapy made my hand hurt worse! She basically said I dont care u still need to go to therapy. She was SO rude about the whole thing!! She challenged me and pretty much called me a liar!!! I have never had an experience nor been treated like this by a doctor ever!!!! I was SO upset and disgusted after I left. I sent her an email the next day letting her know how I felt about the appointment and how she treated me, and of course she didnt respond!!! I also heard from another person that Im not the only one who has said this about this doctor!! How do these doctors get away with this??? How is it ok for doctors to be rude and disrespectful to their patients and nothing happen??? Im a nurse, and let me tell you, if I was that way to my patient I would be reprimanded and warned!! If I was that way to a patient again, I would probably lose my job!! Again, how does she get away with this!!! Patients need to not go to her and/or let her know how she treated them during their appointment and maybe she will change. Something needs to be done!!! SO disappointed!!!! My star ratings is just for this doctor and if I could, I would give her zero stars!! I do have other doctors at TVC and I really like them. It was only this bad experience that I wanted everyone to know about so they can stay away from this doctor. User's recommendation: Do NOT go to Dr. Upham!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
