List of Van Huynh's Reviews
Dr. Huynh is the most thorough health care provider I've ever seen. So lucky to have found her when I moved from a remote area with very few doctor's.
I loved this doctor when she was my primary. I miss her a lot. She quickly diagnosed problems that other doctors missed and I love her aggressive approach when it comes to testing and prevention. I have a new primary because Dr Huynh switched specialties, but I wish I was still with her. She was my primary for about 12+ years and I loved her.
This was probably the worst app't I've had with a doctor in my life and I'm older. I am up to date with most of my tests and doctor's appt's before moving here and none of my previous doctors have chosen to scare me about my health issues, which aren't many. She acted as though she had too much caffeine - didn't listen well, interrupted, finished my sentences and made statements that made me feel frightened. I expect Doctors to provide information and "Do No Harm". She ordered lab tests, which she never mentioned during my visit. I will not be seeing her again. Looking now for a new doctor.
Best doctor I have allowed to take long term care of my family and me. She is a no nonsense diagnostician with a direct manner. Dr. Huynh has my respect and gratitude.
Don't go to this doctor unless you want to be reprimanded and bossed around about what you have or have not done with your health. She acted like a drill sergeant and I felt very disrespectful to me as a patient and person. She upset me so much that I wanted to cry. I had my wellness exam several years ago and lived in fear of having one again. I just visited another doctor though the clinic who is wonderful. It has restored my faith in the medical field. I honestly had a phobia about going in again because of this doctor. She may be the right one for some patient but for me she was the worst. Sorry to have to write this review but I wish I had known this before I went in to see her.
Saw this doctor following an ER visit because my regular doctor was not in on that day. She was rude, arrogant and condescending. I had some scary symptoms I wanted to discuss and she hyper focused on other issues in my history that I was not concerned with at the moment. She chastised me for seeing a naturopath. She did not believe me when I said that I experience symptoms of hypothyroid when my levels are in the low normal range-very black and white thinker and a terrible listener. When I again asked what could have caused my symptoms she literally said, “How am I supposed to know?!” She said she did not have time to address every little thing that was wrong with me even though I came in for a very specific reason and she was the one who went on long tangents lecturing me about pieces in my medical history that were totally irrelevant. Worst appointment I have ever had. It was very difficult getting to the appointment with my 3 month old as we live almost an hour away and it was a colossal waste of time. My other doctors at The Vancouver Clinic have been wonderful so this was a huge surprise that she was so bad. My mom came with me to this appointment to help with the baby and she was also shocked by this doctor’s behavior/bedside manner.
Looking for new doctor and choose Dr Huynh. She requested a E KG from records and saw my heart was not functioning normal. Within 2 days I was seen by a cardiologist and found my heart was functioning at 20%! She called many evenings to see how I was feeling. Dr Huynh is very thorough but not for the faint of heart. If you listen to her she always will listen to you! I respect her as person and a doctor. P. S. 2 years later my heart is normal.
Terrible listener, arrogant, condescending. Made me feel like an errant child. Struggling with postpartum depression-this appointment made symptoms WORSE! Was having scary symptoms and when asked what they could be literally said, “How am I supposed to know?!” Lectured me, chastised me, and provided no help whatsoever. Terrible terrible appointment.
Rude, condescending, arrogant, terrible listener. Lectured and reprimanded me through whole appointment about medical history which was tangential to the real issue. When I asked her about scary symptoms I was having she responded ,”How am I supposed to know?!” She told me she didn’t have time to go through every little thing that was wrong with me me even though I was trying to talk about one specific thing and she kept tangentially lecturing me about things in my medical history (such as seeing a naturopath). I have been struggling significantly with postpartum depression and she made me feel SO MUCH WORSE! If I didn’t have a supportive family this appointment truly could have been dangerous for me. Stay away from this lady. She is awful. I figured out myself what was wrong with me without her help. She treats medicine like a textbook-not flexible-very black and white. Scary that she is allowed to practice. My other providers have been wonderful at The Vancouver Clinic-I’m surprised and alarmed that she was hired and is still working there.
I’ve never had a worse primary care doctor. Aside from the lack of empathy you feel from her immediately, she missed what would have been an obvious diagnosis had she looked at my history and done any basic research. Instead she only looks for what is most obvious, then tells you she can’t do anything else for you if it turns out to not be the first few things she thinks it would be. I had to do my own research and find a different doctor to actually get to the real issue. Wasted time with her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
