So far it's been as good as an experience at the dentist could be. I went to a different dental office a few months ago. The dentist used the heavy end of the dental mirror and tapped on my sore tooth 3 times. After gripping the arm rests, starting to sweat and trying not to cry, he did it again! I swore that was it for me. I was already nervous going in, more nervous when I heard him explain to a gentleman in the other room that he had just fixed the wrong tooth. Then after my "exam" handed me an estimate for over $3000. Didn't listen to a word I said, and kept interrupting me. Fast forward 3 months and I have dental insurance through my job. I went to Willamette Dental (Mill Plain) on an emergency basis for the same tooth. I was very apprehensive after the other experience. As soon as I spoke to the dentist the apprehension was gone. The exam was thorough, gentle, he was attentive and paid attention without interruption. He explained everything and answered every question I had without making me feel rushed. I have another appointment in 2 weeks. I still don't look forward to dental work, but it has to be done and I'm thankful it's getting done at Willamette.

They scheduled me for a cleaning and in a one hour appointment they only got my bottom teeth cleaned and said I'd have to schedule again to come back and finish the top teeth. Who has time for that? Also, they found no cavities, yet on my report card in the end I saw they marked "early signs of active decay" red, so high risk, and marked some other areas moerate risk and they have never talked me about those while I was there, I only saw these in my car after the appointment. Now I'd have to schedule again and pay the copay and take time off work to get something done they should have finished in one appointment. I won't be going back.

Willamette Dental has been good to me. I've been going to this location, and before that to a location in Oregon, for like 6 years now. My teeth and gums are nice and clean and healthy thanks to them. Thank you!

This was a big deal for me, I’ve suffered with panic attacks since the second grade, and the dentist, even in my thirties. Is terrifying for me: yet the staff and dentist here made me feel very comfortable. And even had an, on the spot root canal started. The pain is gone. And the experience was painless. I’ve always feared the Novacaine shots. And my dentist made it painless. I can’t express enough how great this experience was. I wish I could remember the name of my dentist. But I’m sure all are just as compassionate with their PT’s. Seriously thanks again! 5 stars, no anxiety at all. Looking forward to my next dentist appointment.
