excellent staff, pleasant environment.
Attentive staff dedicated to a community
In my own backyard is the perfect little clinic that offers great service. From the front deck reception to the MAs and the docs the team there works well. As I waited for my appointment I watched the front deck person deal with multiple personalities that clearly were impacted by their illness. I used to work a front desk in a healthcare setting and it's not always easy and joy-filled. You are talking to the illness more than to the person and that can color your reactions and interactions. The staff at this clinic proved to be stellar, compassionate and provided a calm interaction in what could have been a very difficult situation. Three cheers for the front desk person - he rose above and beyond and even tho he was super busy with very sick patients in front of him he took time to assist patients over the phone too. You can tell this was not his first rodeo. On another occasion I used MyChart to connect with the clinic to provide an update to my records. My post was responded to quickly and I was assured my charts were up to date with the new info I provided. I am confident this clinic and the team there offer this little island great care and service from the front desk to the great docs on staff. Thanks for all you do for Vashon.
Sea Mar Vashon is negligent to the point of harmful. I had an appointment with Dr. Jessica Wesch IN MAY. I expressed to her that I was in urgent need of support, she pretended to hear me and care. She prescribed 2 medications, and assured me these medications would be 'activating' and 'life changing'. She made me aware that one of the medications is often difficult to get insurance to approve, but she would be on it, she had won this battle many times before. She reassured me that if she lost this battle with my insurance, she would QUICKLY prescribe a different, effective medication.A few days later, I received a text from the pharmacy. I went in, thinking the medication was ready. When I went in the pharmacist asked me to try calling Sea mar/Dr. Wesch because the pharmacy could not reach her after multiple attempts.Immediately, I called Sea Mar, and the gentleman that answered the phone was catty and unhelpful. 2 weeks later, the medication was denied by my insurance, I waited for Dr.Wesch to step in. Two more weeks passed. I called Sea Mar, again, and again the same nasty, sarcastic, unhelpful, catty person told me that they only found out that day it was denied, which I struggle to believe. Then, my follow up appointment with Dr.Wesch was canceled, with no reason or reschedule. I called again, a week later, and I was told Dr.Wesch was out of the office for personal reasons with no return date scheduled. Which, I understand and have empathy for, but I also need to have my medical needs met. I was assured that the entire team had taken over Dr. Wesch's current patients and I would be helped quicker than ever with more 'eyes' on my situation. I called two weeks later, and Dr.Wesch was still out, and I was treated terribly over the phone by the same sarcastic person. I was spoken down to, as if I was being impatient and inconsiderate. Can someone else ever answer the phone? I called a week after, Dr. Wesch was now on vacation. No call in-between. Since that day, I have since been calling every few days. I have been told they have no record of my request, my request is a top priority, they don't have a phone number for my insurance (KAISER). I've been told this will be resolved tomorrow, Friday, Monday. Today. It is almost, almost funny to hear what they will say next.It is the MIDDLE OF AUGUST. I have not received this medication, I have not spoken to Dr. Wesch. I have left at least 10 messages for her, or for anyone in that godforsaken office to help me. THREE MONTHS HAVE PASSED. I had hoped my symptoms would have been treated and I would be in a completely different place, physically and emotionally. I cannot believe this has happened and there is no recourse. I feel as though I could call every day for the rest of my life and I would stay in this same position. This is unconscionable treatment.
Lovely staff, but they are SO hard to contact. Answering machine will be on and give the business isnt open speech..... on a day they are open? No way to leave a message without taking up valuable time of staff trying to deal with emergency calls. I have several "weekdays" off from work, and the calls are always long and laborious, which is incredibly frustrating when im trying to fill a medication that is needed ASAP and they take days to communicate with the pharmacy. Also very incompatible with pharmacies off island, when I have tried to have medications filled, their system apparently takes up to 24 HOURS to send a prescription? Why?? The pharmacists were very confused and one asked me "what if you need your meds in an emergency??" And i just had to tell them "i dunno". The staff is very kind and helpful, and you folks do such important work, but these are and have been problems that are hurting the clinic.
I'm a visitor here, far from home and my usual medical facilities and my primary care physician. I had an infected toe that needed attention, and went to Sea-Mar on the recommendation of a friend who lives on the island.I got an appointment the morning after I called and was seen by Dr Bridgett Ann Chandler, an excellent practitioner who proved to be skilled, personable and efficient. I have been recovering nicely and follow-up has been very good. When test results she had ordered came back post-visit, she and the staff handled the follow up (a new prescription was needed) seamlessly. I was impressed with their covid protocols, professionalism and overall aspect of the facility. Their professionalism made what could have been at least a major vacation inconvenience (or worse) as smooth as possible.
Condescending. Had a hard time listening and believing patients and their needs. Chart totally incorrect and horrifically insulting. Medical misinformation. Basically, not a place to feel safe you're getting told the truth or gather useful information to make an informed decision.
My recent visit to Sea Mar Vashon went above and beyond what one might expect from a busy clinic. While waiting for my appointment I watched as their front desk team not miss a step in making sure all the patients (in person and via the phone) were acknowledged. My appointment was on time, and I was pleased to see my records from other clinics I work with were available and part of the conversation. Dr. Thomas Erdmann and the stellar staff at Sea Mar went above and beyond customer service. Sea Mar Vashon offers great service and an educated and caring staff of doctors, clinicians, and support staff.
Exceptional care!! No wait time. Staff was WONDERFUL!!!
It's good but they never stick to the appointments sometimes you have to wait more than an hour and a half

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
