I have been seeing Dr. Castillo for many years and have never really cared for her. I didn't bother changing Dr's because I didn't have the need to go to her for much other than an annual pap or a bad yeast infection. However, now that I am pregnant... I will be changing. I went to my first appointment after finding out that I am pregnant and she was nothing but rude. She was negative about my age and mentioned to me that I could still miscarry. In addition, she inquired about a previous pregnancy I had at 19.. stating it's uncommon for a 19 year old to miscarry.. Really?? She did not ask if I had any questions.. which I did and the appointment felt rushed. I only got 1 picture of my baby and didn't even get to hear the heartbeat and she failed to explain anything on the ultrasound. She should not be practicing!!

I have been seeing Dr. Castillo for a year and a half. Recently, before a pap and biopsy she advised that if results were abnormal, she would like to refer me out to a specialist. She told me to call for the results in two weeks. When I called about my results, the office staff advised me that the day the doctor told me to call was a day she was out. they then let me know that the doctor was not returning my calls because she was unsure what to recommend! Office staff briefly reviewed my results over the phone....typically, doctors call you in to discuss more serious results....this left me feeling stressed with little answers. I went to the office the following day to obtain all of my medical records. Office staff called her, because she was not there (that's two days) she asked that I come in the following day for a PROCEDURE! Without EVER reviewing my results with me. Every day that week I called to speak with her about my results. It is 8 days later and she NEVER returned my calls.

Lost lab results for 8 months and did not respond when called to ask about them. Then did not provide sufficient information once lab results were provided.
