Dr Cheng was very informative and took time to answer all my questions. After my surgery he closely monitored my progress and kept me informed. He also called me while I was recovering at home to follow up! He is very professional and follows up during your recovery. Dan

I had a rather intense diagnostic lung surgery by Dr. Cheng because a scope wouldn't work. The surgery was a success, but I wasn't told the nerves could take upwards of almost a year to heal until 3+ months after the surgery when I still had some pain. That said, I genuinely liked Dr. Cheng. His bedside manner was friendly, and he described the procedure clearly ahead of time. The hospital staff at AMC was awesome during my overnight stay, very helpful, patient, and professional.

I went in for a simple hernia operation an 1 year and two months later I'm healed,(thanks to a different doctor!) So you decide on what i think!

Dr Cheng did surgery on my husband, it was a complicated surgery and everything went fine. He was highly recommended by his Nurse Practitioner and other nurses

Absolutely zero communication. Told me I had cancer then never talked to me again. Zero education. Then pawned me off on some other doctor at FVSA who was unable to provide me options. Recommend you go somewhere else for your care. Do not have them give you a colostomy as that is all they are capable of there. Very disappointing to be treated so disrespectfully.

My husband had excellent care from Dr Chen when he needed colo rectal surgery & is now living comfortably with a colostomy.

I was referred to Dr. Cheng in beginning of December of 2016 for fluid in my abdomen and is still a current issue, that being said it's late August and Dr. Cheng hasn't done a thing to figure out why or where it's coming from. He told me in December after he had the fluid drained to have another CT in 6 months, I did just that and found out fluid was back. He was informed of my fluid return and has since done nothing. He has a lack of concern and laziness to figure out a serious health issue.

Dr Cheng seems to be highly skilled and focused. Communication isn't his strong point ( he was to the point, but a bit short on details), but he makes up for it with his talent and knowledge. I trust him to perform quality work.
