Obgyn is great. If you are actually able to get an appointment. Scheduling during covid has gotten out of control. Pushed my appointment back twice. Called in April for my September check up. Was told nothing available until January . On the day of my appointment they canceled and offered me to come in May. At some point you gotta stop accepting new patients if you can't take care of your existing ones. Disappointing.

My visit with dr Kennedy was less than desirable. I had my 3rd child and the contractions had kept me awake for days-from labor and the uterus contracting down-apparently the uterus contracting down gets worse with each child. I was in terrible pain. The doctor came in because I was in sobbing pain-not when they paged her but HOURS AND HOURS later 1pm when they paged her before 6am. She then spoke to me like I was crazy for crying-offered me psych meds without even knowing me (I wasn’t aware psych meds assisted with pain). Then told me to take an extra ibuprofen after drawing a huge ibuprofen schedule on the dry erase board. I’m so disappointed because I can only assume that she discriminated against be because I had an addiction with prescription stimulants in the past. I have been sober for years and specifically chose my doctor because she has an understanding of where I am and doesn’t treat me differently because of my past. It will always be a part of me but dr Kennedy should not have allowed it to define me. She should have called my doctor and followed my care plan. My doctor said I should have demanded they call her when she returned from vacation. By that point it was too late the entire experience of bringing the baby home had been ruined. If doctor Kennedy was so concerned she should have talked with me or my doctor. I specifically chose to have my baby vaginally even though there were risks with him being very large-because I didn’t want A. Pain which is a huge trigger for me.-(unfortunately I went home in duress from pain which was very difficult) B. To be on large amounts of narcotics-which probably wouldn’t be the best for me. But my doctor and I also had discussed that she wouldn’t leave me in pain if something happened because it is a trigger. I just wish there was better communication between my dr and dr Kennedy and that dr Kennedy didn’t prejudge me because of my past. There is nothing more awful than being in horrible pain and someone acting like it’s no big deal your just a junkie.
