Ryan Tetting's Online Review Report Card

I've been seeing Dr. Tetting for several years now. I think his bedside manner has absolutely diminished. He's very very quiet, in a rude impersonal way. I went for dry eye. He did not say or explain what he was doing to diagnose my problem. Proceeded to push my eye lids with a flat sharp stick. No discussion of the procedure. Corrected me for pulling my head away from the equipment. I'm dumping him. Dr. Foss is the one to see

I met with Dr Tetting today and he was awesome. Great professional doctor and super friendly! He had great knowledge of all of my eye conditions and was able to easily answer all my questions. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Tetting is awesome! Friendly, caring and very professional. Great sense of humor too!

Dr Ryan Tetting has just left the exam room after putting drops in my eyes and I feel compelled to write the following. The receptionest was real nice as well as the woman who prepped me to see Doctor Ryan Tetting. I had a nice visit with Doctor Ryan Tetting five years ago. Flashing forward 5 years he seemed like a different person today. I only asked him to please speak softer when he was right next to me asking me which number lens was clearer...1 or 2...2 or 3 ect. I explained to him that I can hear fine and his loud volume broke my concentration trying to decide which number was the right answer to give him between the numbers he was loudly calling out. He said he is used to speaking to old people all day long. He said he could put some music on for me??? I haven't a clue what that even meant . I was looking forward to this eye appointment because I thought I had some rapport with him and he with me. That's always important when you're talking about things like health or eyesight. I'm not going to go back to Dr. Ryan Tetting. This is my patient right because I do not feel in any reassuring way that he even cared for me as his patient from his condescending tone. I tried explaining to him that I understood the fact that sometimes doctors talk loud. I briefly related an experience of my Great Uncle Bill when I took him to the doctor. I brought this up to bridge the the gap in the deterioration of our communication that was obvious in the exam room. Dr. Ryan Tetting did not even acknowledge my talking with him. He kept interrupting me telling me to open my right eye my left eye never gave any indication that he was even listening to what I was trying to communicate to him. We all have our bad days and all have our good days. Life is too short to carry a grudge so I'm not going to do that. What I am doing is giving my honest opinion. It costs a lot of money to go see any type of doctor these days. The charges the that the patient sometimes has to pay out of pocket and the exorbitant amount that insurance companies pay is seeming to get bigger and bigger every year. How nice it is to go to a doctor or a dentist or eye doctor and be treated like a human being. Like you are being listened to and that what you have to say to them as their patient matters. That's what each and every one of us deserve. Today, this was not my experience. I will not go back to Dr. Ryan Tetting and have a repeat of this type of experience.

Dr. Tetting is my follow up Optometrist after my Cataract surgery with Dr. Michael Vrabec.. Dr. Tetting and his assistant are excellent. They provide excellent post operative care. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Tetting had the WORST bed side manor! Very short and curt answers to our questions that made us feel like we were an interruption in his day. Not sure of his competence as he rushed us in an out without going into any detail about my condition. We definitely will NOT be following up with this office.

This is the worst doctor I ever had. His diagnostic ability is even worse than his ability to communicate. Valley Eye attempted to correct the problems but quit after one attempt leaving me permanently damaged. Stay away from such incompetence. They run a factory assembly line. Staff is awful.

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. I've never been treated so horrible by a medical professional. I do not recommend Ryan P Tetting OD to anyone.
