List of Jose O. Santos's Reviews
Not a good listener. Found myself repeating explanations. Seemed he had an agenda to accomplish and did not find my comments noteworthy. He was angry because I consulted him about a procedure and decided not to have him perform it but rather have it completed by health care professionals I’d been treated by previously. He made, I felt, overly strong statements that he would not treat a patient getting care at another facility or by another physician. Of course I understood his thinking. I SHOULD have shared that I declined that earlier care he offered precisely due to his negative attitude, poor “bedside manners” and overall lack of compassion.
Took care of my concerns up to the smallest detail.
He is amazing! He is very hands on in finding the area(s) causing the pain and is excellent in performing the procedures. I have had several injections, nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablation procedure. I had all of these procedures done in the past by a different pain management doctor who had set a very high bar and Dr. Santos has exceeded my expectations. He is not just treating me for today he is treating me for the long term to give me the best possible quality of life. Amazing!
I was lectured about how my chronic pain was in my head. I was supposed to not think about it and the pain would get better, as that what he did with his "pain". This was part of my treatment plan. Has this doctor ever truly lived with chronic pain? I would not recommend Santos as a pain specialist to anyone.
I would honestly warn anyone I care about to never see this doctor. He is extremely rude and arrogant. His bedside manner is absolutely awful. I went to see him for chronic pain, needless to say I am still suffering and no better. Sitting the first 5 minutes of seeing him for the first time in my life he blamed my fibromyalgia being mentally ill! Saying it's in my head! My only mental health issues are depression and anxiety that aren't much of a problem. He tells everyone they are crazy.
I would avoid him at all costs if you have pain issues. He refused to listen, he "pigeonholed" me and refused to see me as an individual. Regardless of your circumstance, he insists on using the same "algorithms" on everyone and labels you as "difficult" if you disagree with him. He states that he's an expert on pain management, however he refused to even include me when creating a plan. Extremely condescending. I witnessed the same behavior when he cared for a family member.
I went to see Santos as a next step in my pain management when when I was referred to him by another doctor. Worst doctor (if you could call him that) that I have EVER had the displeasure to see. He was rude, and arrogant. Refused to listen and then blamed me for the disrespect he was showing me. Not to mention he refused to listen to what I had to say in regards to my previous medical/medicine history. Put me on medications that I had already been on that made me way too sick to function.
DO NOT SEE THIS "DOCTOR"!!! He his a HORRIBLE person and an arrogant dick. He treats you like you don't know your own body and like you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to you're own pain. He refuses to listen to anything you have to say. Repeatedly treats you like a toy, and acts like what he physically does to you doesn't in fact hurt you as he pokes and prods you like a voodoo doll. I spent exactly 25 minutes in my last and final appointment with this man. I say man, because he is the FURTHEST thing from a doctor. And in the 25 minutes I spent with him he did nothing but accuse me of lying about my condition that was previously diagnosed with years ago and have been battling since I was a child. He made me feel like all he believed me to be was a drug seeker the minute I told him the medications he put me BACK on didn't work. Even though I told him some of the alternative methods he suggested to lesson my pain were working. It was like the minute I disagreed with him on anything I immediately turned into a bad guy and a liar. He spent the last of the time I tried to talk to him accusing me of lying, and telling me I needed psychiatric help for it, as well as accusing me of being the ONLY problem as to why he refused to listen to me. I later read in the clinic notes that he made up a bunch of things that were never discussed or even mentioned. As well as making up medical conditions that I don't even have while ignoring the one that I was actually there to see him for. Hands down the WORST doctor, or the biggest joke of one, that I have EVER had the displeasure to see.
I would not recommend Dr. Santos to my worst enemy. This man is extremely rude and arrogant with no respect for his patients. He is not at all interested in what a patient is doing to help themselves as he feels that his way is the only way. If you question him he will become very irritated and treat you like you have done something wrong. If you want a doctor that you can trust and that actually cares about your health don't go see this one.
DO NOT go see this doctor! This man has no interest in knowing your story or anything about you as an individual. He is rude, condescending, and extremely arrogant. If you don't agree with absolutely everything he says or even question him about something he becomes hostile and treats you like a criminal. He is the very reason patients that are in pain are scared to ask for what they need. Jose Santos should not be practicing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
