excellent physican, very knowledgeable and caring
I have been a patient of Dr. Muchow for many, many years! I will be turning 50 soon & feel the best I've felt in years! I have been through so many different stages with Dr. Muchow from pain, depression, menopause, illness & many more. She always taken time to listen, cry or laugh with me! She has never given up on me or made me feel hopeless. Instead she problem solves with me so we can come up with treatment that can make life better for me. Forever I have felt that my I'm struggling with life tasks just the same as everyone else. But the last couple years it been unbearable! My last visit Dr. Muchow changed all that! I cant believe how just having a Dr. who listens can completely change your life! Thank you Dr. Muchow for being you & thank you to her beautiful nurses who always make sure to return phone calls when I know how busy they are. I would refer anybody to Dr. Muchow that was looking for a Dr. that listens to her patients needs & goes out of her way to find the best treatment. Thank you again Dr. Muchow & staff for all you've done for me?
I have a really complex case and some terrifying symptoms. Dr. Muchow has always helped me and has given me support. I can not say enough good things about her! She is truly amazing; I wish all physicians were like her!
Dr. Muchow is absolutely fantastic! She spends a lot of time with her patients and she genuinely cares. She was the first doctor that I felt truly listened to me and helped me feel at ease. I trust her judgement and feel incredibly lucky to have her as my doctor!
Dr. Muchow stepped in on my mothers case and found things numerous doctors had missed and she has been a complete joy to work with. She doesn't let you leave until you understand something.
Dr. Muchow has been an advocate for me with a variety of specialists and has really helped me manage the medical system. She has really cared for me as a patient and a person.
I love how much time Amy spends with you, she explains things to you thoroughly and in ways you can understand! Amy always has her patients best interest in mind. I was diagnosed with a not so common illness, and Amy has gone above and beyond to learn everything there is to know about people's illnesses.
i trust dr muchow and like having her as my dr
This dr. does not have a shred of courtesy for her patients. The wait time in her office is ridiculous as well as waiting for her to do rounds when I was hospitalized. My husband had to make a call to the head of the Hospital (Beaver Dam, WI) to get her to give us a reason for my hospitalization. She did her rounds on the first day of my hospitalization at 2:30pm which caused any diagnostic tests to be done late in the day which caused my being kept over for another day. I believe if she would have done her rounds in the morning (7am) my diagnostics would have been done and I would have been sent home that day. Instead, when she came in the 2nd day she hadn't even looked over the diagnostic tests. She flipped through my chart and when asked, "How did the tests come out?" She replied, "I geuss I don't know yet." She said she would have to have a nurse run down the results. And so I stayed another day in the hospital. When all was said and done I had a bad case of stomach flu. What a trip. Needless to say, she is no longer my dr. And the Beaver Dam Hospital is no longer my hospital. I could write a book on the lousy care in the hospital. I did follow through with complaints to the hospital and the state concerning dr amy munchow. Result: the dr's are "contracted" by the hospital and so they can bring concerns to them, however they can not insist on change of any kind. Further, they can't take action against the doctor for discipline. The state said that they can't take any action against the dr or the hospital unless the problem was documented. When I was left to sit in my own urine overnight................it was not documented. (no action could be taken). When an inferior nurse took my blood pressure in such a way that she blew the IV needle out of my hand and I was sitting with a pool of blood at my feet///////////////////no action taken by the state because it was not documented. So the nurse that left me in my urine and blew out my IV is also the one who is suppose to document her inferior work. It won't happen and so it will go on.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
