He is a good thorough Doctor. I had two strokes, one being in my left eye. He tried prisms but they weren't strong enough so I was sent to a specialist at Children's hospital to cure my double vision. After 4 years I can see again. Dr. Alpren did my follow-up. Thank you Dr. Alpren

I went to see Dr. Alpren to have a cataract removed. He told me to come back in one year to possibly have it removed. I also needed a prescription for eyeglasses since my current 5-year old glasses are not nearly strong enough anymore. I took the prescription to Wisconsin Vision who gave me new glasses based on Dr. Alpren's prescription. The new glasses were so much weaker than my old ones, I couldn't read the newspaper. They are replacing the lenses based on their new eye exam and told me that the Alpren prescription was significantly lower than the glasses I was replacing. I also have a semi-transparent gray circle in the center of my left eye and the Dr. didn't know what could cause that and referred me elsewhere.

after being in the office for over an hour and a half I was rudely told I had no appointment for this procedure , at that point I was rudely escorted out of the office and asked to leave. No explanation was given. I left of my own accord.

My experience with Dr. Alpren was far less then satisfactory, his sincerity about his concerns for patients rights seems to be more reteric then real sincerity. His inability to respond to my calls left me with a real sense of disconnect and a lack of need to respond in a timely manner. I'm still waiting for that return call after 36 hours of waiting.
