I was recommended to Dr. Stone by a friend of mine. I have been experiencing knee pain. The first time I went to see Dr. Stone I actually did get to see the doctor. Every visit after that I was given his PA, even when requesting to see the doctor. I did continue my visits because I was set up with three series of knee injections, one week apart for each. The PA would move my knee up and down, to determine where he wanted to give me an injection. After my series of three injections, I had no relief. I was totally fed up, I decided to get a second opinion . I am now paying out of pocket because insurance will not cover it. Insurance will only cover this procedure once every six months . Let me tell you when you go to a place that specializes in this and actually cares about the patient ( i’m not just a number ) I had relief on my very first visit. First off they removed 58cc of fluid, boy what a relief . Now when they give me injections, they are using an ultrasound and die to ensure the gel is going exactly where it’s supposed to be going . I would highly recommend Not going to this Doctor.. You will be sorry you did , and you will have to start all over. One very unhappy patient of Dr. stones .

9 years after successful microfracture surgery, I write to complement the excellent skill and treatment provided by Dr. Stone. I am an active 62 year old, and still play competitive soccer and other sports after this surgery. When treated, I was suffering from a meniscus tear - during the surgery he found I had little or no cartilage left on that knee. Dr. Stone's microfracture treatment enabled me to maintain the active pre-operative lifestyle I still enjoy with no knee pain (following the post-op. treatment and directives of Dr. Stone.) The results speak for themselves.

After an orthopedic specialist determined I suverly sprained my ankle, performed a surgery that didn’t work and sent me for a 2nd and then 3rd opinion. Dr stone was my savior. I can finally walk! Thank you for saving me!

The waiting area is messy. The office staff is noisy, gossipy, unprofessional and tiptoes around Dr. Stone like he is the second coming. Everyone at The Orthopedic Institute seems to have completely forgotten that patient care is about the patient. Dr. Stone is a great illustration of all that is wrong with medicine. His PA performs the exam and runs tests. Then after a considerable wait in what can only be described as a storage closet and not an exam room does Dr. James W. Stone decide to grace you with his presence. His tone is condescending and he certainly doesn't comport himself with the bearing of someone who is Harvard educated.

My employer is known for interfering in work compensation cases, they’ve lost a lawsuit for such behavior. After minimal physical therapy, Stone refused to treat me, or even give a recommendation for another doctor or clinic. He seems to have been bullied by my bosses. What a weak person.

He is definitely a great doctor. A great Surgeon and would not trade him for any other doctor. Has great bedside manors. Really cares about his patients. Stands up for his patients.

Who needs reviews when your the Best!!!!

His bed side manners , skills as a surgeon awesome.

My Primary Physician recommended Dr. Stone My first visit discovered an AOPA magazine, and I knew I would like him personally. My knee replacement went very well and I was able to walk without pain in about 6-8 weeks. I have since seen him for a crushed vertebrae

I did not feel like Dr. Stone listened to my concerns. He never looked at my MRI images - the main reason for my visit. Because I was waiting in the room so long, the system timed out and he admitted he didn't know how to log into the system. He said he would ask someone to login but never did. He made assumptions about my lifestyle that were insulting and degrading, and I did not appreciate it. I would find someone with a better bedside manner and more focused on helping the patient.
