Could not get a visit nor a call back from this Dr. and his belligerent, disorganized angry staff. My husband has been trying for a month to get a consultation with this Dr., to no avail. Someone from his office finally called back and was very unprofessional basically telling my husband that the Dr. told her he couldn’t do the type of surgery he was inquiring about. Other words buzz off. I am extremely pissed watching my husband be in so much pain and this piece of ………….. not give a crap and pass the buck off to someone else. Word of mouth will not be your best advertisement from me. You Suck as a human being
I am 1 yr. post surgery ACDF & Replacement Level 5. I had 6 disks removed and replaced from my neck. I have my life back and I am able to do everything I want to while enjoying retirement and my 5 yr, old Granddaughter. My cervical disks were pressing against my spinal chord and presented a profile of many who were paralyzed with my condition. I got the timely service from Dr. Perlewitz. I had two whiplashes from car accidents, arthritis, degenerative disk disease and a skating accident falling on my chin that affected my disks and spinal chord. Dr. Perlewitz did additional testing to ensure that he was able to successfully do my surgery or he said he would refer me to another doctor who specialized with more serious conditions. I was impressed with his honesty to make sure I would have the best care. He was patient, explained all in detail, approachable, respectful, and caring. I have referred others to him. The Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital was progressive!

I have my life back and I am able to do everything I want to while enjoying retirement and my 5 yr, old Granddaughter. I am an active 62 yr. old female taking strength training, cardio, pilates, and barre classes and swimming. My cervical disks were pressing against my spinal chord and presented a profile of many who were paralyzed with my condition. Thankfully I got the professional, compassionate, and timely service from Dr. Perelewitz, his staff, and P.A.'s. I have referred others to him and I would go back if I needed to for other surgeries. He worked well with my physical therapists who also highly respect him as they work with patients of his and other doctors. They commented how they were most impressed from Dr. Perelewitz's patients as they had less pain and recovered well. The physical therapists were not biased as they were independent from Midwest Orthopedics. Appointments were easy to schedule and timely. The receptionists were pleasant. Calls were returned same day or next day by P.A.'s, doctor, or Office Coordinator as needed. My hospital experience was positive with the same level of respect and dignity received from Dr. Perelewitz. I was afraid of losing my quality of life last year. Dr. Perelewitz reassured me every step of the way that I'd be ok and he gave me examples and statistics of others in similar situations. I am grateful and appreciative of the great teamwork from the Orthopedic Surgeons and the Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital!

The staff and Dr Perlewitzs' team have treated me with so much care. They got me into surgery quickly so i wouldnt have to be in pain anymore- they empathized with me and were very sympathetic towards my situation- My Laminectomy was a breeze with this crew! Specifically Adam (PA) Dr Fleischmsn,, Nick (AT), Micah (RN) Tanya ( ST) , Maggie (OT), Megan (PT) Kaitlyn (RN-PACU) Kris (Pre-OP RN) Krista (RN SPS Area, and Nicki. This team deserves the world and I can not thank you enough for bringing my quality of life back improving my overall mental health as a result. Thank you from the bottom of my heart !
I can’t say enough about my surgical experience with Dr. Perlewitz. An avid tennis player, golfer and Peloton enthusiast, that all came to an abrupt halt when I experience a (bad) disc herniation. No more nothing….I could barely walk and sported crutches for my daughter’s wedding (not part of the plan!). Dr. Perlewitz and his team are a collective 11/10, to a person, all of them professional, friendly, supportive and just nice, normal people. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. I’m a good listener and did exactly as directed in terms of pre-surgical prep, post-surgical activity, rather, lack thereof….and it worked. I’m back doing everything I love to do, and could not be more appreciative.
Dr. Perlewitz did my 4 level fusion on a Monday after it was determined at my scheduled 3 level the Thursday before that I damaged my neck further at work. Adam his PA listened to me at the first date of surgery and canceled it and they got me in as soon as they could after a MRI determined I damaged my T1. Every visit I saw Adam and Dr. Perlewitz, They listened to every issue and never shorted me on my time. The staff for the most part got me in at my scheduled time, I never sat more then 10mins. My surgery has so far been a success, I am 12 weeks out and left with a little numbness in my little finger but with time that should go away. All my other issues are gone and my neck feels like new. I would highly recommend Dr Perlewitz and his staff.
I had L4-5 anterior & posterior fusion. Extremely pleased. No problems and it's been years since surgery 2005.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
