List of Max Ots Md's Reviews
I went for a second opinion to Max Ots in 2019 as I have had chronic thoracic and lumbar spine pain. Radiologist from St. Vs totally missed the arachnoid spine web. So I can only figure Max does not what a thoracic spine arachnoid web looks like either. I collapsed while in another state in 2021 and went to the ER where they diagnosed an acrachnoid thoracic web in my spinal column. They ordered the 2019 MRI that Max looked at and low and behold it was plain as day. As someone-else said on Vitals he does not have a clue on Intradural spine webs or cysts. I lost 3 years with needless pain. I had spinal surgery in Phoenix AZ to remove the spine web in 2022. Long recovery. Thanks a lot Max. Oh yea, he wanted to do surgery to pin my SI joints instead of the real problem he missed. Shame on ISA (his PA)for not seeing the issue either. Do not trust Max or Isa (PA) to look at your previous MRI's. Make sure a neuro-radiolgist (not a regular radiologist) reviews them and actually hands you an official report on the neuro-radiologist stationary!
Emergency surgery saved my life. Arrived in ER with issues that quickly became worse.

Would definitely NEVER recommend this Dr to anyone. I was just diagnosed with a cyst in my spinal chord, having multiple neurological symptoms that are taking over my life and preventing me from working. Told me basically not his problem and to follow up with my PC. Would rate negative if possible. Although his PA was an absolute sweetheart, I would give her 4 out of 5 stars. He may know how to fuse a spine, but has no clue about thoracic cysts, and no care either.
I got a back surgery when the problem was a enlarged kidney. Then due to nerve damage CRPS for the rest of my life he just fed me pain medication. It was the worst experience ever and I was 25. My life was ruined by this doctor!
Lumbar surgery, couldn’t have been better
I had a 5% chance of living and if it wasn't for doctor Otts i probably wouldn't be here today
Wonderful, fixed problem and took pain away.
I had both my back surgeries done by Dr. Ots one in 2002 and one in 2016 both with great results. His team is wonderful. Dr.Ots it the type of doctor that gets straight to the point no bs. I recommend him to everyone.
Hands down ...the best! He has done 3 surgeries for me and will do future ones as well! He really cares about you and getting your quality of life better and so you are as close to pain free as possible! He also noticed a mass on my pituitary gland that was picked up on one of my my MRIs, ordered the blood test for it that day in the office and set me up with an endocrinologist appt right away as well!!! He is my Dr for life!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
