Terrible terrible doctor. He is unsafe

I would never recommend Dr. Mackowski to anyone. He did an amazing job on my first hernia surgery, allowed me 6 weeks to heal before going back to my heavy duty required job. Now 1.5 years later, I have another hernia surgery, this time I am allowed 2 weeks of no lifting. after two weeks him and his nurse Brooke put light duty, I have a 40 pounds weight restriction at work, I can't return to work unless I can lift 40 pounds. Because of their Dr. Mackowski and his nurses way of filling out my short term disability forms, I only get 2 weeks of STD, I can't file for unemployment, because I am not able to work. So no income, because they feel everyone has an office job. I have called, my employer has called they don't care. Personally I think they want me to go back to work so that my next surgery is work comp and they can charge w/c twice as much as my regular insurance. I believe people like Dr Mackowski and his assistant are the reason so many employers pay big Work comp rates.

Dr. Mackowski was early to my appointment. He spent time reviewing my CT scan with me which none of my other doctors have done. His staff were very friendly and helpful. Surgery and post op when great. I have sent my family and friends to him.

Botched surgery, left with fatal complications. Would not recommend. Horrible bedside manner and very agressive. Would NEVER send myself or a loved one to him.
