List of E. Jason Abel's Reviews
He is a great doctor and surgeon. Excellent in his profession. I could not ask for a better medical professional. His team is very good ??.
When one of Dr. Abel's partners was ready to remove my husbands kidney for an abnormality showing on a CT scan, Dr. Abel tried a stent first and the problem cleared up. He always explained what was showing on the CT in follow-up visits and took the time to explain everything. So grateful we got an appointment with Dr. Abel and not someone else.
This calm and kind physician saved me from losing a kidney. I had been told I needed a nephrectomy, sought a second opinion at UW, and was calmly given several options for care. Here I am a year later, feeling great, after receiving care At UW. Thanks so much!
Only was able to speak with Dr. Abel for a few minutes before he performed a procedure to try and diagnose why I have been having blood in my urine for two months. I received a message telling me "Test negative. You do not have cancer." I did not know that was even a possibly. I tried for weeks to contact him regarding follow-up care. I finally heard from the nurse that I now need a referral to a kidney specialist. Terrible communications.
Took a biopsy and fluid from my kidney and was told they would call with the results in two or three days. It's been 2 weeks and I have not heard anything. Diagnosed with colon cancer and would like to know if I am full of cancer or not, so I know how to continue. Dr. only in the room with me for 2 minutes and was not around when the biopsy was taken.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
