He was my second opinion, which lead to me getting a third. I’ve had ankle/foot pain for 3 months and have been in a boot. He told me foot injuries can take a year, looked over my ultrasound and said there was no tear- after previously been diagnosed with one, and said I need a physical therapy. He then gave me a foot brace. Which I waited 40 minutes for, because the nurse didn’t know I was there. I just had an MRI this week after seeing a different doctor, I do have a torn tendon and also an entrapped nerve. Guess we can’t be great all the time.

Dr Rongstad fixed a botched surgery on a 2nd metatarsal joint nonfusion done to my foot. He even fixed the ugly scar left from the first surgery, because he didn't want my foot to look that way! He gives you the time you need to ask questions and concerns. Would highly recommend him.

Dr. Rongstad was engaging, approachable, and empathetic. He took plenty of time to listen to my concerns, and explain options in a way which humanized the interaction. Although I haven't yet had the surgery, he said he'd done over 1000 of them, and I'm confident my experience would be as good as possible if done by him.

Horrible provider. Didn't listen to me or care and abandoned me. I have two ligament tears, that I had to find out through the radiologist and were not discussed or imparted to me by him. He basically told me I may never walk again, offered nothing else. I am now unable to walk or bear any weight on my right ankle. I tried to call him and set up an appointment, and he refused to call me back or see me! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! I am under 50 years old and a single mom...TERRIBLE treatment!

He is the best foot doctor in Madison. a podiatrist doctor totally mixed up my foot. Dr. Rongstad totally fix them. I am so thankful for his knowledge, and professionalism. Also his nurse Lynn is the best.
