Dr. Sloan is a highly experienced surgeon. I had severe problem with my hernia but now I feel like I have never had it. The surgery was professionally performed and I am recovering quickly. I also appreciate that Dr. Sloan took time to discuss options and shared thoughtful post-surgery recommendations. I highly recommend Dr. Sloan as a top level surgeon! Thank you very much, Dr. Sloan!

Had an emergency ostomy surgery for a perforated colon during a two week stay in the hospital. Dr. Sloan handled my reversal, which occurred a few months following. The pre- and post- surgery meetings were quite amicable and thorough, and he followed-through by having me perform some tests to answer questions that assisted in a very successful laparoscopic reversal of my ostomy. I had an average stay in the hospital as I recovered, and my wound integrity, G.I. health, and well-being are great

Dr. Sloan spent a significant amount of time with me and family showing and telling us what the scans showed. His recommendations were thorough. He called me the next day to add a recommendation for a treatment from another hospital. He communicated with them and set up a time for us to meet the new surgeon and her team. I hear stories from people about their frustrations of the team not communicating or feeling dismissed, unheard or disrespected -- that's not the case here.

Now a year and a half post op, and no further problems. My complications after a gastric bypass were dealt with perfectly. I was very fortunate to meet Dr. Sloan and that he was available when I needed another, related, surgery.

If I ever need another surgery Dr. Sloan would be the surgeon I would go to. I highly recommend him as he is extremely thorough with his diagnosis and makes sure you are fully informed and comfortable with the surgical plan. He does not jump to surgery as the final plan. I fully trust him and I am not one that trusts easily. He is a true professional that works with the patient in finding the best course of treatment.
