List of Paul John Hayner's Reviews
Smart, caring, good looking. He's the best.
This doctor helped me significantly improve my health in five months when I gave up and said I would do anything he suggested. He presented a plan to cover my physical and mental well-being. My labs greatly improved, and I lost > 18% my body weight. He addressed the fact that anxiety was interfering with my daily life. He showed great concern and interest, and presented solutions that worked for me. He gave me the credit when we saw results. We continue to work together, and I am most appreciative. *** R.N.
I have seen Dr Hayner twice. On each occasion, he was patient, thorough and personable. He welcomed my input and participation in my care. He answered my questions completely and referenced current medical guidelines and sources. He meets my standards for ideal patient care.
I tore a ligament in my hip, and not only did he gaslight me about the pain I was in and that I knew it was a torn ligament (this is my fifth torn ligament. I know what a torn ligament feels like. he just took an X ray, said I don't have arthritis, then pawned me off on a PT with no explanation of how to manage the difficulty walking, living my life), I have followed up saying I was in significant pain. I know what a torn ligament feels like. he just took an X ray, said I don't have arthritis, then pawned me off on a PT with no explanation of how to manage the difficulty walking, living my life), I have followed up saying I was in significant pain. I have been in pain for months and have asked him how to manage it. All he did was find a different PT that could get me in sooner. I asked for a temp handicap placard and it was left for me *unsigned*. It is so hard to walk, so hard to get around, and this doctor has demonstrated he doesn't give a hoot about his patients if they have any meaningful needs.
Dr. Hayner is great. He listens to my concerns and is thoughtful in his responses. I've referred a couple of friends and neighbors to him and they have been pleased with his care also.
I saw Dr. Hayner when his practice was based in Astoria, Oregon. He is arrogant, condescending, and obnoxious. These traits offset his impressive medical skills to the extent a patient is better off treating himself.
Dr. Paul John Hayner, is a top notch Medical professional. I have been to three Medical professionals from UW and each are in are top notch medical professionals. Dr. Hayner's staff is the greatest in the world. Dr. Hayner personally listens to the patient and understands completely what the issues are and make excellent suggestions for solutions. I am pleased to be a patient of Dr. Hayner for the past 1.5 years. With Dr. Hayer the patient is number 1, he is dedicated to his profession and does not leave any stone unturned. Just like any other Doctor if you tell the Dr. what is going on and are truthful each visit is a dynamic experience. Being new to Madison, Wi. it is great to have found a group of Medical Professionals that are focused on the patient and care 125% about the patient . Dr. Hayner is one of the Best there is, The BEST there was and the BEST there ever will be!! Thanks RJR
I found Dr. Hayner to be timely and great with follow-up. Highly recommend.
Went to see Dr. Hayner for a variety of issues. He spent most of his time typing on my chart and listening with about 25% attention. Anytime I would say something he basically would explain how previous doctors did not know what they were doing and he had all of the answers. This is a "Died-in-the-wool" establishment doctor who basically makes sure that all of his notes are up to date and really has no ability to actually diagnose anything beyond a cold or flu. Needs to take a class in listening to patients and not walking in thinking he knows all of the answers. Nothing he suggested was of any value.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
