My wife is in remission for leukemia. A retired nurse, she said there was no way with her age and medical history she would get a transplant. Our Dr. made an appointment with Dr. Mattison who ran her through tests she already had recently. 3 relatives were screened and one selected for the transplant. He called before our last appt. to say a transplant was unlikely. At the final appt. he said she was not a candidate. He knew from the beginning - WASTE OF OUR TIME AND INSURANCE MONEY!
