I have been seeing Dr. Saha for over 5 years. She has preformed multiple procedures, from colonoscopies to endoscopies. She has always been thorough, compasionate, professional yet personable. knowledgeable and humble. She was able to diagnose a very rare autoimmune disease, and is the ONLY doctor in this area who has researched it, explained it, sought out other professionals beyond Madison, who are familiar with the disease and continues to provide the best possible care. I had many doctors who agreed there was something very wrong, but shrugged their shoulders and did not know who to proceed. Dr Saha took the bull by the horns and proceeded with professional caution, science and a plan to determine what was ailing me. I highly recommend Dr. Sumona Saha.

I went in for a routine colonoscopy. She was running over an hour late for my procedure. No explanation. Dressed in street clothes. Wasn’t in procedure room before I was put under anesthesia. Punctured my colon within the first few minutes of the procedure, didn’t do the colonoscopy and I was sent to UW Hospital for emergency surgery where 5 inches of my colon were removed. Spent 7 days in hospital. Missed my Birthday and the holidays but I do have a lovely 10 inch scar on my abdomen. Would I go back to her or the UW Digestive center? Never.

She ignored the advice of several specialists, didn't look at my chart, wouldn't order necessary tests, and told me to "power through" vomiting my medication. I had to see another doctor just to get retested. There was no compassion or any effort to help me as a patient.
