Tony Chang's Online Review Report Card

I agree with the other low scores. I had him as my internist back around 2007 or so. If you want no answers or help with your medical problems go see Tony Chang MD. Thankfully there are great MDs out there who aren't like Tony! Find one of those instead, you'll thank me.

I’ve seen this doctor three times now. I always am forced to lead the discussion because he says very little and nothing of any account. He scarcely bothers at all to try to appear the slightest bit interested in my health, and when I broach specific health complaints, he either ignores me completely or makes a feeble excuse as to why he can’t address it. He does seem interested in and eager to make further appointments, and starts talking about the next appointment when the current appointed has just barely started. I can only conclude that he considers his job a sinecure; he doesn’t feel any obligation to actually do anything—or even pretend to do anything. No, I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, and I’m trying (with difficulty) to find a different doctor.

I’ve seen this doctor three times, and all three times he spoke mostly about scheduling another appointing, a subject he brings up surprisingly early each time. In all other matters it always falls to me to lead the conversation. He adds almost nothing. He simply ignores my health complaints or, if really pressed, invents an unlikely and unconvincing reason as to why he can’t address them. His written summaries of the visits are essentially fabrications. My general impression is that this is a doctor who considers himself entitled to be paid for not worked and is just not the slightest bit interested in my health. If there a way to verify it, I would bet a significant sum of money that at least a few of the favorable reviews here were written by the doctor himself.

Worst doctor I have ever had. Afraid to treat any complaints you have. Has no answers for anything. But he sure can type into his computer for most of an appt. . Would not recommend him to anyone

I have always received excellent medical service and advice from Dr. Chang. Dr. Chang rejected a medical service for Alcoholism and referred me to another Meriter New Start. Dr. Chang was correct, I received excellent Alcoholism Service/Workgroups from Meriter NewStart. Nurses, receptionist, everyone is wonderful, courteous, and very informative regarding a patients needs.

Tony chang found my thyroid disease on my first visit, likely because my mother was with me, and she suffers from this genetic condition. As time went by, I continued to feel terrible. Dr. Chang started to make me feel like a drug addict looking for more medications, instead of a sick patient looking for a cure.He told me I seemed depressed and gave Lexipro. I told him I was depressed because I kept FAINTING and the FATIGUE and PAIN were too much to live a normal life. He told me my blood work was normal and "make an appointment to see me in 6 months".I went to a new doctor and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease within 2 weeks. If Chang were still my doctor, I'd probably be a bedridden vegetable by now. WORST DOCTOR I'VE EVER SEEN.
