Saw her for over 5 years and even after moving to Westbend continue seeing her due to her amazing service. I thank dr. Kohler so much for helping me thru those crazy adolescent years. Best doctor I’ve ever known.

I have only had one other psychiatrist than Dr Kohler. He retired after treating me for 9 years. So I have seen Dr Kohler twice now. She only sees me every six months versus every two months with my last doctor. She said if I needed her in the interim to just call. Well, that's would be fine if she would talk with me directly, but, I am only able to relay messages through her nurse. That is because she is with patients. ( Am I not a patient too? ) I don't need to talk to her the minute I call, but would hope she could respond in 24 hours. Seems reasonable to me, but the staff says it is faster to go through them. On the nurses advice (Without talking first to my doc, she said I could discontinue one of my meds cold turkey. So I did. Well I was on a high dose of this drug for several years. The withdrawal was so bad I became intolerable and am lucky not to have been arrested. (I have bipolar 1). Isn't that practicing medicine without a license? Anyway, between the inept staff, the inability to speak directly with my doctor, and the lack of overall care, I am moving on to a different doctor.
