List of Amy R. Dysart's Reviews
Dismissive, does not research, blames infertility and other issues solely on weight rather than solving for a problem.
Dr. Dysart is an excellent physician. She has a passion for women’s health. She is kind, takes time to listen and thoughtfully presents her patients with care options.
She can be very judgmental. I am an adult and my mother happens to be one of her patients as well. In regards to one of my lifestyle choices that she disagreed with (this was only my second time meeting her), she proceeded to say "I don't think your mother would like that." I found this to be very unprofessional and rude. Every encounter with her since has been awkward and cold. And she spends the minimal amount of time possible with you.
Her nurse assistant was awful. Incredibly rude and had an attitude. Dr. Dysart was very knowledgeable & is a great doctor. Her personality didn't gel well with mine; I'm looking for a gynecologist that is nicer with a warmer personality, especially while being pregnant for the first time. My husband was also very unimpressed with both of their personalities, and he is pretty easy going.
She was very thorough with my medical background. The exam itself was quick and painless. Dr. Dysart talked to me throughout the exam - mainly about my life - which was a great distraction. I was very pleased with my experience.
I had a very complicated pregnancy i was pregnant with twins and had previous miscarriages i was a high risk pregnancy she dismissed all my concerns i had treated me like i was stupid I ended up loosing one of the twins at 3 months and in jeopardy of loosing the other i was seeing a specialist and her and cried everytime i knew i had an appointment with her she called me fat and reminded me the baby was only a couple pounds she was doing internal exams everytime she saw me even though it was not warranted and was not gentle she was rude and had me crying every time i walked out of the office she did nothing to calm my fears and dismissed every concern i had thank god for the specialist she was the one who got me thru a very stressful second half of my pregnancy the last two months of my pregnancy i had terrible stomach pains and couldn't eat i went to see her i told her the only thing that didn't hurt my stomach was shakes and rice she said then eat that so for the last two months thats all i had i lost so much weight at the end of my pregnancy they finally sent me for an ultra sound only to find out i had a bad gallbladder that was full of stones and was having gallbladder attacks and the only thing she had to say was at least i had lost weight i was so relieved when the time came to deliver my daughter she was on call and i got Dr sportellio to deliver my daughter who was only 5lbs 13 oz probably do to my lack of food the last two months do not see her if you are having a baby she is a horrible bitter woman with no bed side manner she is in the wrong line of work you need to be more understanding and consoling to women who are pregnant and having or loosing a child
I began seeing Dysart about 6 years ago. She dx'd me with PCOS after several blood tests, exams, etc. I moved out of state for 3 years, and returning I began seeing her again. I had menses for almost a year before I moved back. She did an exam then did an internal ultra sound the same day as well as a uterine scraping. The last two were actually fit into her schedule, between other patients. She was VERY helpful, and called me ASA the results came back and asked that I come back into the office with my husband or another support person. She was VERY strait forward with me about my options, got me in with an oncologist within the week; and not just any oncologist, but the best at Women's in West Allis. Dr. Dysart has always been very frank/strait forward with me, she does NOT sugar coat anything, and has ALWAYS answered any questions or concerns of mine. She doesn't seem to have much bed side manner, but that is not a requirement of mine from any doctor. She, in my opinion, is great!!!
I went to see Dr. Dysart in 2005 for the birth of my first child. I was extremely disappointed with her when I decided to wait a few more days for an inducement and when I came back for a checkup to reschedule the inducement, she was very upset with me because the change in plans got in the way of her own personal plans. Don't go to her-very selfish for a doctor.
I recently saw Dr. Dysart and left the office completely upset. She rushed through my appointment and was very rude. She made smug comments about things that I was doing during my pregnancy- such as trying to use natural methods of relief before using medicine. She showed no compassion and was not understanding at all. I felt as though she was scolding me for all of my choices- even though I have had an extremely healthy pregnancy. I will never use her again, and am still bothered by the poor quality of our visit. I immediately followed up with another doctor to get my questions answered. My husband accompanied me on this appointment with Dr. Dysart and said, "it would have been nice if she treated you like a patient, and didn't rush through everything."
Dr. Dysart treated me like a pregnant teen.(married 4 years at the time) I had not known I was pregnant.(My period was on time...it just would not end so I made an appointment). I found out that I miscarried and she did the D & C in office without any anesthetic at all. She would not let me call my husband to pick me up until after the procedure and she also would not admit that it was a D&C. She used a wrong surgical tool on me per my current OB-GYN. It was a traumatic experience overall. DO NOT GO TO HER!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
