David Fine's Online Review Report Card

This is an unaccountable Doctor with least empathy for me as his patient. His communication skill needs a lot of improvement. The higher end lens, chosen for my cataract surgery, was supposed to optimize my distant sight; it didn't happen. The result was completely inverse. I used to have a decent distant sight. After this surgery done by him, my distant seeing is totally destroyed and I became a near sighted person. This resulted in a big change in my lifestyle. Rather than acknowledging this is partially due to miscalculation of lense size (measured twice by his office assistants), he kept blaming the size of my eyeball. After the second follow-up he literally kicked me out of office with no further appointments. To my surprise, I heard being discharged from his care. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I would not recommend him for his lack of professionalism.

I highly recommend Dr. David Fine. He is an excellent cataract surgeon. His clinic and staff are also amazing.

Dr. David Fine is the best!!! He is caring and considerate. The staff in Ladner office are excellent too. They are helpful and nice! I am grateful I was in good hands when I had successful surgeries. Thank you, Dr. Fine! And many thanks to Tammy and Naomi too!

My 84 year old father recently had cataract surgery with dr fine. He is extremely happy with the job Dr Fine did. He was informative and reassuring from start to finish. Thanks again doc!

Great doctor and staff! My entire family has been seeing Dr. Fine for over 10 years and have never had a complaint. Sometimes the wait time is a bit long but it’s understandable because the office is very busy. I recommend him!

Had to wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.....No more. Walked out. If you expect ANY sort of punctuality from an MD DO NOT go to Mr Fine. Find another. There are lots.

We had an appt. to see him at 5 p.m. still waiting 1.5 hrs. later, no Dr. Fine, but he walked thru and out working on his cell phone. I checked to see how long more we would be and apparently we could be waiting another l.5 hrs. We left and will deal elsewhere. Real lack of professionalism if you ask me.

The Doctor is well versed and is friendly to his patients. Explains thorougly his diagnosis.

I waited over an hour past my appointment time while he chatted on the phone with the door open for all to hear. It was not a business call but personal . I left without seeing him but he sent a report to my family Dr. that he saw me and all was ok. Isn`t that illegal?

Within two years, I've developed macular degeneration in one eye which renders it useless, and extreme near-sightedness in the other which has gone from bad to worse. Dr. Fine has been perfunctory, vague in explaining the problem, and told me there is nothing more he can do for me. The "more" was interesting, since he didn't do anything in the first place.
