Dr. Burkett literally saved my life after my appendix blew up in 2003. I have since gone to him for several procedures. He is kind, knowledgeable, takes time to explain everything. My doctor of choice going forward. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Burkett has treated not only me but several of my family members. I trust him with my life!! I have had several vascular surgeries with him as my surgeon. One more surgery coming up and I would not have anyone else take care of me. He is a warm genuine person who truly cares about his patients. He cares about the stresses and anxieties you are going through and always has words of hope and encouragement. He is blessed and gifted, one of the best!

Five stars aren't enough to represent how great Dr. Burkett is. He is exceptional about making sure you know exactly what is going on, but perhaps most important is he listens. If you need to have anything done and he does it, he is definitely the right choice.

Dr. Burkett and my orthopedic surgeon performed an L5/S1 lumbar fusion, with incisions both anterior and posterior (plus one small incision for bone graft harvest). Dr. Burkett thoroughly explained the procedure, risks, etc. His incisions and closures were flawless, which translated into very little post-op incision pain, zero wound seepage, and zero infection. I hope I never need another surgery, but if I do, I will travel any distance to see Dr. Burkett.

Dr. Burkett performed a robotic hernia surgery for me. Everything went much better than I expected and 3 weeks later there are no side-effects or complications. He and the entire team were very personable, attentive, and answered questions thoroughly while making sure I was comfortable and well tended in their care. While I considered just living a restricted life to avoid any complications in or after surgery, I chose to just do it after initial consultation. At this point I have zero regrets. It was well worth it - I feel brand new. Ok, I'm 40 - so maybe not "brand new", but certainly repaired. ;-)

Dr. Burkett is a very personable surgeon, going above and beyond any expectations I had regarding my procedure(s). He performed a Retroperintoneal Exposure to make way for anterior spine surgery with Dr. DeWitt. I was impressed with his gentle (non arrogant) demeanor as well as his comprehensive explanation of what would, could and should happen during and after surgery. Dr. Burkett's bedside manner displays the same detail and thoughtfulness. He was never indecisive and I respect him.

Dr Burkett performed my emergency appendectomy after a long 18 hours of being very sick and going to the ER. Everything happened very quickly and he promptly moved me to surgery. He is an excellent Doctor. Very, very friendly. Much appreciated his bedside manner and follow up care. Great experience!!

Dr Burkett was the kindest doctor I have ever had. He wanted me to be informed of everything that would be happening to me. He even did a follow up call..himself! I could not have gotten a better surgeon!
