I trust his opinions, knowledge and abilities to the point that I was willing to put off kidney stone surgery one of his colleagues could have done sooner in order to have him do it. The main reason I will only see Dr Murphy is about 7 years ago I was in to see another urologist because of a pain I was having and the doctor after checking me out said everything was ok. A week later it was bothering me more so I went in to see my doctor again but he was unavailable so I saw Dr. Murphy and after about 60 minutes he diagnosed me with testicular cancer and had me scheduled for surgery the next morning even though he had to cancel other appointments he had.

Very professional yet friendly. Will put you at ease and takes time to make sure you understand test results. Been my doctor many years.

Dr. Murphy recently saw my husband in the er on an emergent basis.My first impression of him was he was demeaning to his subordinates,sarcastic and demanding. Husband had to go to surgery where urological issue was addressed and his explanation post surgery adequate, but delivered in a superior manner in my opinion. After seeing him interact with the staff @ Theda Clark, he would not be my choice for additional treatment. Post op orders did not include any meds for bladder spasm which my husband was experiencing! Although the treatment was appropriate and professionally rendered attiude needs much improvement in this person's opinion.

I was referred to Dr. Murphy by my Primary Care Physician for an acute Hydrocele. After seeing Dr. Murphy, he recommended surgical correction. Dr. Murphy performed the procedure and all went well. More recently I needed to see him again for another issue and I got an appointment within a week. The good doctor is friendly and professional. His staff does timely follow up and are respectful. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Michael Murphy.

Dr. Murphy’s CALM professional approach allows the patient to relax. He explains everything in detail and still is will to answer any questions. He takes time to get to know you as a person.
