Dr. Bong is one of the finest surgeons doing knee replacements. His care from my first visit with knee pain through having my knee replacement surgery left me with no doubt that I had found the right doctor. His after surgery care was remarkable. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone with knee problems.

The whole process, from diagnosis to recovery for my total hip replacement was done with excellence . My day surgery went smooth and my recovery was amazingly non dramatic. I was surprised at how manageable the pain and process was at home . The daily texts were extremely reassuring and informative . If I had any questions I was able to email and get a quick response. Dr. Bongs whole team was wonderful . I feel fortunate to be on my way to a full recovery and resume a more active lifestyle again .

My care, the day of surgery, was excellent. Dr. Bong was supportive, not rushed and available. I felt I was in Such good hands, as always. I have worked with dr. Bong through multiple surgeries and my experience with the pre-surgery staff had always been em way good. I gave one less star because of the lack of support, and poor communication I felt preparing for my surgery. I feel this latest pre-surgery team did not reflect dr. Bongs excellence. My second hip replacement surgery required managing my medication pre-and post op. The team was not at all proactive. The communication was poor and unclear. I let them know my frustration and unsettledness that things were not being taken care of . For example my primary care doctor had no idea that he was the one that needed to direct the medications for me after surgery-I was not made aware of that either. He had to scramble to take care of that in the last minute. It was not until the nurse called to finalize my surgery time, asking me how everything was going, my expressing my unsettledness, that I finally got the answers I needed. She interceded on my behalf and took care of things for me. She underlined that I had done more than my due diligence and despite that, things had not been taken care of as was necessary. Needless to say, with all this, I was very stressed with surgery this close . Good communication as to what my responsibilities were and what the team would be handling would have made all the difference.

Wow. Just can’t say enough about my total knee replacement with Dr Bong. I’m 5 days post op and can walk without a walker or cane since yesterday. The care at Oconomowoc Hospital was exceptional too. I was in and out of the hospital in less than 9 hrs & 2 of those were before surgery. Not one bit rushed- just a great surgeon, a terrific Anesthesiologist & wonderful nursing & therapy staff. Thank you Dr Bong-I’m so grateful a friend referred me to you! Helayne

OAW has the best orthopedic physicians and Dr. Bong is one of the best! His knowledge and skill has enabled me to walk pain free, play golf pain free, and even dance, really! He knows what he’s doing and he makes sure you know what he’s doing as well as what you need to do to make sure your surgery is a success! He’ll make your life better and easier.

I had Dr. Bong perform the same surgery on my left hip six years ago. That's why I'm returning to have him replace my right hip! He's the best!
