Dr. Torhorst attended me recently in the ER for what she correctly (and quickly) diagnosed as Bell’s Palsy. At a time I feared might be a stroke, she was calming, but not condescending. I want to firmly say that this was a Sunday afternoon from Hell in the Sauk Prairie emergency facility. The nurses told me they’d been jammed from the moment they punched in that morning. I’d score 5 stars if I knew her better, I think. This was a bad day to judge by. I don’t want coddling. I want competence. She certainly has that, and I’m actually interested in learning more about whether she might be a good fit as my Primary Care Physician.

By far the worst and most unpleasant interaction I've ever had. I have 31yrs in EMS and know the difference between competence and confidence which she has neither of.

I was sent to the ER by my PCP to be evaluated for a suspected neuromuscular condition. I was having difficulty breathing, walking, etc. This doctor was suspicious, dismissive, and rude. When I questioned her decision to release me, she made some snide comment about not allowing me to have narcotics. Thing is... I wasn't there for pain. I don't know what is wrong with this doctor, but she was close to becoming unhinged. I'm now afraid that I'll have to go to the ER for fear of having my life in her hands. No, thanks.

I had become so weak that I was having difficulty breathing. My primary doctor told me to go to the ER to be evaluated for a myasthenic crisis. Not only did this doctor refuse to do this, but when I questioned her decision to send me home... she made some snide comment about narcotics. I WASN'T THERE FOR PAIN! She is a horrible doctor and rather incompetent. She has a huge chip on her shoulder.

Seemed more interested in getting g me out of the ER regardless of pain then actually allowing sufficient time to make sure issue was addressed. Cold demeanor. Zero bedside manner.

More interested in rushing me out the door verses listening to me regarding a health issue I've battles for my entire adult life.

Was the ER Doctor on call when I had an extreme allergic reaction to an antibiotic. Treatment was great and she actually listened to what I had to say. Was very friendly and phoned me the test results that came in after I was discharged.
