List of Mayo Clinic Health System - Northland's Reviews
Gone downhill fast. Receptionists are beyond rude and don't want to help. They cancel appointments last minute then have no openings for months.
For some minor issues it may do. More serious issues go to a more professional doctor who has been practicing awhile.
Was greeted by some very friendly people. In-and-out in a snap. Got all my questions answered. Very helpful.
Dr. Nama is wonderful! We had a bad experience at marshfiled clinic and decided to switch over to mayo. The nurse was very quick to get us in. Dr. Nama was wonderful with our son and listened to our concerns. I felt a instant relief taking him to mayo clinic to see Dr. Nama .
I tested positive for covid and have quarantined and masked. 15 days later and still a sinus issue. Talked to Mayo covid nurse line and public health dept nurses and found out you could test positive for up to 90 days and NOT be contagious. I called my "care team doctor" for some more personal advice. Told I would get a call back. Carried my phone around all day and never got a call. I found an email in my portal the next day which told me to call the nurse line or public health! It also said I could my an appointmet to get evaluated. tired to make an appointmet but told I had to go the ER or urgent care because I had tested positive. No appointments there and they are in Bloomer or Eau Claire! Told "patient experience" just to vent as this is "the keepout wall of protocol" and it was designed before covid! There is a new family medicine doctor in Birchwood -you join for $80 a month and see her as you need. Many docs leaving this dehumanizing system. But Marshfield is the same. The docs and nurses are wonderful but the corporate structure is uncaring.
I've been going to the Mayo in Rice Lake since it opened. It is convenient and has a caring friendly staff. Doctors are awesome as well. Sorry moved away.
We moved here a year ago and I have had the pleasure of being at this clinic 3 times. The first time - there was a "scheduling conflict" and my appointment had been given away. The second time - had a successful visit with the doctor. The third time - I had "cancelled" my appointment per the front desk - upon further investigation after arriving at home - the doctor had a "scheduling conflict". I recommend this clinic if you are okay with a 1 for 3 average in setting appointments and having them honored. I will not be returning to this clinic. I am suddenly okay with death as a preferable option to this clinic. As per the usual there is a different standard of service and care in this part of the state vs I guess more populated areas? It's kinda scary when you think about it.
Terrible response times, canceled almost every appointment i make because there is either a conflict or the doctor suddenly can’t take new patients. Been waiting on a referral to a psychiatrist for over 3 years. Been on a “wait list”. But refuse to work with me on testing to find the proper medications or even taking my options into account on my care. Had an appointment for RA scheduled for 2 months. Canceled the day before. Told i can either drive to Rochester or wait until AUGUST to be seen. With an autoimmune disorder that i am not currently on any type of medication for. They used to be good. Now the just don’t care. Don’t care to help. Don’t care to keep appointments. Just plan don’t care.
My wife and I had a great experience going to the Mayo Clinic, pretty much zero wait time, had a great technician and even greater doctor.
I actually do really enjoy a lot of the doctors at mayo. I had both my daughters there and the midwifes were amazing. My only complaint is it should NOT take a week to have my prescription approved. I have asthma and I need to have my inhaler. I’ve been out for a week now and even after messaging and calling the doctor they still have not approved it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
