List of Carter Aune's Reviews
He is an awesome dr, I have been seeing him for almost 9 years now!! I wouldnt switch.
I asked Dr. Aune about a suspicious dark mole on my arm. He told me it was a wart; thus, I ignored it. Over a year passes and said "wart" begins to change. I went to a dermatologist and the spot was removed and it was in fact melanoma. I am now fighting stage 3 melanoma that had it been correctly ID'd when first discovered, could have been easily treatable.
I give a hair rating only because he wasn't overtly rude to me. Looking back, I have a foot injury that he was unable to get on the path to healing (another doc did that). With a history of alcoholism, his solution to anxiety was Xanax. And when I showed him a concerning mole, he told me it was a wart. It was not a wart, it was a mole and it turns out in was cancerous. To top matters off, while currently enrolled in a payment plan, they reported the account to collections. No missed payments,
I was Hospitalized for a 6 days for a severe ruptured disk in my neck. Dr. Aune was in constant contact with the neuro surgery staff. Dr Aune was very curteous and informative on what was going on and visited 1-2 times daily.
Does not take a lot of time and I can pretty much tell him the medicine i need. Definitely my least favorite out of the crew there. Also front desk staff could definitely use some customer service skills and learn to smile.
Dr Carter Aune has been seeing me for the past 5 yrs or so on a monthly basis! I feel I can talk to him about anything. When he walks into the room, it almost seems like its a friend seeing a friend. We chat about sports, and anything else. I may drive him crazy at times with my med problems (lol) but he has never cut me down, or said anything negative. I would recommend anyone to him..
Dr Aune was great and helped me not only in treatment but also in finding a primary physician closer to my home. i had just moved to the Milwaukee area when I became sick and he not only diagnosed me, but he also provided drug samples to lower the out of pocket cost of having to buy the medication. Then when I followed up, he helped me to find a primary doctor closer to my house in Hales Corners so I didn't have to drive all the way to Sussex. Overall great guy and very caring physician. The staff was great too (receptionist printed off directions for me since I wasn't sure how to get back to where I needed to be)
I went to Dr. Aune with a skin condition and he took a culture and prescribed a steroid. 3 days later the culture came back negative. I asked Dr. Aune to recommend a dermotologist and he said that he was qualified and that I should make another appointment to come in and see him again. The rash got considerably worse so I went out of my insurance network and saw a dermatologist who identified the problem as scabbies in a matter of minutes. From the time I first saw Dr. Aune to the time I saw a dermatologist was a month and a half. If Dr. Aune was so qualified he could have diagnosed the problem in the beginnig and it would not have dragged out for several painful months. My biggest complaint is that Dr. Aune would not recommend me to a dermatologist within our network or any other network for that matter.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
