Exceptionally skilled surgeon and so compassionate. Surgery had a great outcome due to Dr. Weilands skill. Follow up post op appointments were timely and compassionate. I would recommend Dr. Weiland to family and friends.

He is straight forward in his explanations. He explains any options available and their pluses and minuses. He answered all my questions and encouraged me to ask any further questions. He mad sure I was as comfortable as possible with making decisions necessary.

Dr. Weiland did a colectomy on my husband almost 4 years ago for removal of a cancerous growth. He explained what he would do preoperatively and postoperatively was very attentive and called, personally, with the pathology results which were very good, fortunately. Our youngest daughter and I were kept imformed of my husband's conditon and we were very pleased with his care.

I can tell you I was very nervous about having my surgery. I kept putting it off because I was afraid and nervous. I met with Dr. Weiland about the procedure and he was excellant! Very professional and compassionate too. So then I had the surgery and he did a fantastic job! Actually the staff that assisted me at the surgery center was great too! I could not find a single complaint about anybody in the entire process and I would NOT even think twice if I needed surgery again to use Dr. Weiland and the staff at the surgery center next door. Simply the best and that's why I gave 5 stars.

I found myself in Wausau in need of an emergency appendectomy, I am grateful Dr. Weiland was the on call surgeon. He was professional and very reassuring under a scary situation. My condition was more advanced than the cscan indicated and Dr. Weiland tended to the situation beautifully. I was in the hospital 4 nights and he saw me 3of those dates. Hes is a good listener and competent at his vocation.

It's been a long time since I have interacted with a clinician that demonstrated a strong curiosity to seek eitiolgy, coupled with a compassionate bedside manner. We are fortunate to have this surgeon in our area.

I was 13 weeks pregnant and at a visit to the walk in clinic for abdominal pain they discovered that I needed to have my appendix removed. They called Dr. Weiland in and he really made me feel confident that having this surgery was the best thing I could do for myself and my unborn child. Dr. Weiland saved me and my baby girl and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Weiland is a wonderful surgeon who can explain procedures thoroughly. He is honest with you about your diagnosis and gives you options, with straight forward recommendations. While he can be direct, I much prefer this when dealing with my health rather than trying to read between the lines. He is also patient and will explain until you understand. He gave me hope at a time when I was afraid and I'll always appreciate that. He's terrific and an A+ surgeon. I think my recovery was easier than others because of his abilities.
