List of J Keith Watson's Reviews
Kieth should have left three years ago. Did not give patients time to talk. I am glad I have a good Dr.
Dr. Watson has been my family's doctor for over 35 years. He tends to be very "old school" with paper files and conservative, not over prescribing antibiotics or scheduling tests, which is so refreshing with doctors nowadays prescribing pills for everything or pawning clients over to other specialists to deal with. He has always been very concerned and took the time to talk to our family when diagnosing. Fantastic doctor who cares very deeply about his patients.
Possibly the worst doctor in Ontario. He missed a diagnosis of diabetes for months (possibly years), he refused to test for Parkinson's "because you don't have shakes" - after switching doctors found that have had Vascular Parkinson's for a decade.. He switched medication immediately prior to a trip to Florida, thereby voiding our travel/medical insurance policy.. He does not respond to phone calls or emails from either patients or other physicians (when they requested our records).
This doc should have his license taken away! My father in law saw him every month for years, other family members pleaded with Watson that he needed help. We finally took him to the ER and was told his liver was failing. He never left the hospital, 2 months later he died. A year and a half later, my husband went to Watson complaining of painful urination and blood in his urine. The only thing Watson did was take urine samples, all of which came back negative for bacteria but positive for blood. All Watson so did was give him antibiotics and anti-inflammatories even though my husband's condition kept worsening. This went on for 3mths. He lost 30lbs and was incredibly lethargic. We finally demanded a referral to a specialist whom ended up finding a tumor in his bladder that was blocking the opening of his bladder which in turn caused the urine to back up into the ureters and by the day of surgery his kidneys were starting to fail.
My husband hs been a patient of Dr Watsons for over 36 Yrs. In the lasti will say 3 years he has made two serious mistakes concerning his health. Both problems turned out to be cancer. If he had sent my husband to see a Specialist sooner the cancer migth not have not have spread as far as it did.It required an operation and he lost 1/2 his stomach. Now this time he will have to go though Radiation treatments. Here's hoping everything turns out this time.
Excellent knowledge. Keeps up to date on latest treatment options. Will usually have to wait to see him, but he will still take his time with you, even when behind schedule.
Very good dianostician, careful about prescribing antibiotics, takes time to explain meds, recovery time, reasons for his decisions, prompt at passing patients on to a specialist when necessary. Not prompt as he takes time with each and every patient in his office. Cares deeply about his patients.
Always to the point. Never schedules unnecessary tests. Great with the elderly. Has been my Dad's (88) family doctor for 36 years. Very knowledgeable. Always has time to explain drugs, their side effects, what to expect from tests - before and after. Great bedside manner.
Been my family GP since I was born, excellent treatment, he gets straight to the point and doesn't sugar coat anything. When in the Dixon Clinic he functions the same as ALL the doctors in there and doesn't put up with people going in for common colds and other problems that do not require medical attention and just waste his time along with the all the other people there who are actually sick!
I have been with Doc Watson for over 30 years, he is no pill pusher and thats what I like. I have never had any complaints about him and dread the day he retires!! Doc Watson you have always been great with me!!...Thanks!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
