DO NOT GO HERE!! I was a patient for about 7 yrs. About 1 1/2 years ago was the first time I had a problem with one of the doctors, Dr Patel. I was describing my pain and stated that the SI injection they gave me 2 weeks prior did not seem to work, and that the hydrocodone 5/325 mg weren't really handling my breakthrough pain. He looked at me and said, "Maybe we should discontinue it and you can take Tylenol." I was shocked and said it was fine at what it was with tears welling and starting to trickle. Then 2 appointments later I left the hydrocodone bottle on the nightstand and my husband tossed it. SCREWED!!! I explained what happened. Realize this was the first time I didn't have a bottle. When I went to leave I looked and he lowered me back down to the 5/325 mg and gave me 1/2 the # of pills. She went back and came out telling me, "He said, next time you won't forget your pills. He said you should consider yourself lucky he even gave you that many." MASSIVE PANIC ATTACK.. how was it going to handle the pain? When I got home I called and asked her if I could transfer to Altoona. I could never go back to State College Office again. I said fine. Got off the phone and cried. They let me go 5 months without a long lasting pain med for 5 months due to ubsurance. They put me on Fentanyl Patch. They had a research lab in to do your DNA. He kept me on a med that didn't work well with my body. I had to tell him what she said would work best, even though he looked right at the report in front of me Well.. about half 1 1/2 months ago I got a letter from my insurance that they were no longer going to participate with Dr Johnson. I called, spoke to a woman in the office. No clue??? WTF!! It would take 2 weeks after the initial appt with a new doctor for them to prescribe my pain meds. The next day I got a voice-mail to go in for pill count and drug screen. When I finally got the message I said there was no way I could make it there in the required time limit. "So you are refusing? I am informing you that since you refused to come in that you can disregard any future appts with our office." My response was.. this is pretty fishy that I have never been called in for this until I called and requested to transfer everything to a new doctor, since the insurance isn't renewing with Dr Johnson. She said.. that isn't how it is.. I said irregardless, this isn't right. Oh well.. I called the new doctor and set up an appointment for Aug 23rd. I run out of meds on the 20th.. she said my PCP should do a 1 month script or I am going to have major withdrawal. This is the Dr Johnson that the FBI/FDA stormed in and stopped all activities in the office. They seized a bunch of records that day. It was on the news.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
