Thomas Dougherty's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Dougherty, is poor at best and horrible at worst. He is an expert at not answering questions fully, and truthfully. I am convinced that his knowledge and expertise are limited. I feel that his demeanor is a front to cover his incompetent conduct. I do not trust nor do I have confidence in anything that he says or does. I’m happy that he retired and can not practice anymore mediocre medicine to anyone.

Rude and dismissive on numerous occasions. Did not trust his judgement.

If I could rate this place zero stars I completely would. The nurse practitioner is the nastiest woman I have ever dealt with. She is rude, and very unprofessional. She made a major error, refused to take any responsibility, and in fact blamed me. I will not be returning here so they can charge my insurance insane money, and give me five minutes of their time. She also gave me attitude when she called a second time for now returning her call to book an appointment. I’m an essential worker at the moment, and have been a little busy. Terrible experience all around. She is a horrible NP.

Dr Dougherty is great. He’s very thoughtful and he is old fashioned in the sense that if you end up in the hospital he will come in every morning to check on you and administer your health care himself in the hospital. You don’t see that much anymore

Excellent oral surgeon. I have uncommon illnesses (MECFS/POTS) that can make extractions difficult. Dr Dougherty contacted my doctors and all went extremely well! Very knowledgeable and caring doc. Also great staff that were on top of their game and very responsive to my queries

Does not return calls

The staff at Dr. Doughterys office is extremely unprofessional and flat out rude. Its a shame because DR. Dougherty himself is excellent. The only staff member that is a credit to his practice was named Lisa. The rest of them are a poor representation of an excellent surgeon.

I was so hesitant as I've heard nightmares about oral surgeons. My experience with Dr. Thomas P. Dougherty's office, staff and his professionalism was Excellent from start to finish. I found the experience surprising and very satisfying as he removed 4 teeth that needed to be taken out as they have caused me major pain. I can not express enough how gratified I am that my daughter recommended this Doctor to me. He had removed her wisdom teeth on the eve of her wedding as her pain was unbearable. I waited much too long for this needed surgery and I found my hesitancy to be totally unfounded. Dr. Dougherty not only fully explained exactly what all he was going to do, but he did this surgery with care, expediency and I was never in pain. I am writing these comments10 hours after my surgery when all painkillers have completely worn off and I am shocked that I am not only pain free, but have no swelling or discomfort at all, No doubt this is due to the care and professionalism of this doctor, as I have lived with indescribable pain for months needlessly. I only wish I had gone to this savior sooner! I can not thank this doctor and his staff more!!! THANK YOU DR. THOMAS P. DOUGHERTY for your care and professionalism!! It is a true blessing not to have throbbing pain in my mouth for the first time in months!! You not only promised excellent results.... But you delivered! Thanks again, Tom Larson

I am rating the doctor so low because of his staff. His staff is not courteous or prompt. I have been trying to get my medical records faxed and the staff has been rudely refusing to do this. The last time I went to see Doctor Dougherty I paid my copay in cash and then was sent a bill for not paying the copay. I do not recommend this doctor due to his incompetent staff.

I've been with Dr. Dougherty for almost 25 years. He's never done me wrong. Always professional. Excellent care and listens when I needed him to. Explains until I understand. Much appreciated. Thanks Dr.!
