List of William R. Beam Md's Reviews
He was amazing in the ER and had a sense of humor which helped me get through a difficult time. He was very professional and explained everything as it was being done. I highly recommend this physician!
Dr Beam always takes time to listen to my needs
Seemed fairly knowledgeable. He was very arrogant and acted like his time was more important than mine. I would not recommend him. One positive, his staff was friendly.
Very smart Doctor who does what it takes to aid in the healing process.
Part of a system that drives patients crazy. He may be a fine physician, but whether or not you can see him in less that six months depends on who answers the phone when you call his office. His service providers, particularly Andy Boyd Home Medical, are uninformed and unresponsive. The links between the sleep center, whatever that is, and service providers are either broken or badly distorted. I have used a Cpap for two months. The first month was fine. The second has been an insufferable disaster. I'm going to return the Cpap and go without it. Getting medical care should not be this difficult.
Getting an appointment, even for established patients, will be six months or a week, depending on who answers his phone. Service providers such as Andy Boyd Home Medical are uninformed and unresponsive. Took me nearly a year to get a cpac. I've used it for two months. First month was fine. Second has been horrible; far worse than no cpac. I'm returning mine and going it alone. Getting medical care should not be this ridiculously difficult and frustrating. Very depressing. (Can't find overall rating so can't submit.)
saved my mothers life when most others gave up. hes not in office because hes in the icu doing gods work.
I have had so many bad experiences with doctors treating my sleep disorder that I was very happy when my first appointment with him went so well. He seemed very attentive and informed. Unfortunately, I have only seen him once since (over the last two years). He seems to NEVER be in the office. I am usually seen by his PA. He and his office staff refuse to use my prescription service as it is supposed to be used (3 month supply at a time), even though I know that they are able to do so. It takes up to two weeks for him to write me a prescription, which I have to pick up rather than have called in every month. Recently, he changed my medication back to a medication I was previously on. He did not seem to care at all that I originally asked to have the medicine changed because I could not afford it (it cost ten times as much). Although I believe Dr. Beam is extremely knowledgeable, he is extremely unavailable and has proven uncooperative in numerous situations.
Dr. Beam is extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and well respected at St. Mary's. His care for my father was excellent. He took time to do research, think outside the box, and look at every angle when diagnosing and treating. Though extremely busy, he took the time to explain the situation and answer questions, and returned phone calls! We were very lucky to have my Father under his care in the ICU at St Mary's and at Cornerstone hospital.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
