List of Valley Healthcare System's Reviews
I was absolutely disappointed by the group therapy ran by Mr.Thorne. If you have any others options, please take them. I was discouraged for asking questions and bringing up other perspectives that were not agreeable to the therapists agenda. Having an outside point of view was considered an offensive and aggressive action. Even through all that he wouldn't even give me the name of the Dr who has saved his partners life from epilepsy while I continue to struggle this deadly diesae. So please people try the Fairmount office if possible
I've been going there for over 10 years and they are very polite and helpful
I have been a patient at this center for a year now. The Valley Health Center in Fairmont is wonderful. Very helpful case workers, therapists, and psychiatrists. This one in Morgantown though is terrible. The front desk receptionist/ scheduler is extremely bland and rude. My psychiatrist is next to impossible to get in touch with. Their nursing staff for my psychiatrist takes days, if at all to get back in touch with you. I have ran out of mental health meds numerous times due to their lack of care to stay in considerable touch with their patients and follow up on required appointments to stay current on medications and treatments . My case worker is OK. She does what she is supposed to so her part is done on paper. My therapist is great. Seems to be the only one who genuinely cares about getting me connected with resources and proper medical treatment to stay happy and healthy.I am now resorting to other places for psychiatry. Daisy Cumberhouse is a no-go. I don't recommend Valley Health of Morgantown to anyone. As a mental health patient, it is unrealistic and unfair for their staff to expect someone with these conditions to constantly chase/hunt down mental health care providers to give them the proper service they truly need and deserve.
Impossible to contact or communicate with. Well known scams operating as help programs. obviously for profit and not for anyones health. Im fully convinced the staff hates their jobs as well. good luck to anyone who has to deal with this place. pathetic.
called to see if i could get a psychiatry appt. specifically if they were taking new patients and treat adult adhd a very uninterested girl says: yes, intake tues and thurs 8-11. ok go in for intake takes about an hour and a half all together. when i asked how long til i can get appt. 6mos!! dear god, but ok. make a therapy appt and ask for psychaitry appt. informed i was to be put on waiting list. so then i asked (bc iwasnt thinking) are you going to schedule a psychiatry appt. to be told : nooo, we dont have enough dr's we have to HIRE one before you can even be scheduled. so, had the girl told me when i called and asked if they were taking new patients NO would have been an honest answer! So be aware, they will have to hire a new doc before they can even see you.(if you are a new patient) really dissappointing, i wouldnt have wasted my morning had i known. also the phone ppl are horrible and the support staff seem really apathetic(front desk) the one bright spot was the girl who did the intake. very professional and engaging
Decent place to work.. good benefits like insurance and PTO.
Don't ever work for this place or seek treatment. They are spiteful and they don't care about their employees or clients. On one side of their office they have the suboxone clinic on the other side drug rehab. If that tells u anything..
Went here for "mental health care" for over a decade and while there were some kind workers, many of the doctors and therapist seemed to need treatment themselves. They are condescending, unhelpful, and want to shove medications down your throat and send you out the door without truly helping just so they can bill insurance or valley care. The DUI program is the worst in the state and they Don't even follow state regulations. They will require you to do extra expensive therapy the state does not mandate just to get more money. They will try to force you into religious cult AA meetings and won't tell you that it is illegal to do so since the supreme Court ruled that AA is a religious organization, unless you are smart enough to call them out on it being illegal. You can do a movie review instead of AA but they will not freely give individuals that option unless you fight for it because they want to push their cult. If you can go to Wheeling, Charleston or any other area for DUI classes it will be quicker and less expensive to get your driver's license back. This entire system along with over half the workers needs a complete reform. BEWARE OF SNAKES WHO SAY THEY WILL HELP YOU FOR A PRICE!
very in tune with patients needs, will work to help better patients. and most of all they listen to your problems and do their best to help a person in need

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
