List of Joe Ellington Md's Reviews
I’ve been seeing Dr. Ellington since 2011. I had a miscarriage the year prior and had seen a different doctor who made a terrible situation even worse, being very numb and cold about the whole thing while the baby’s father, myself and our family were devastated. Thankfully, my aunt had told my grandmother about Ellington and that’s who I’ve went to ever since. I got pregnant with my son, he was wonderful the whole time. I got a lot of sonograms and check ups to ease my mind, he was very down to earth and joked with me to make me feel comfortable, but was serious when need be. I had my son, no complications thank God. A few years later I became pregnant again, which ended in miscarriage. He was wonderful. He handled it with compassion and understanding, he was very patient as well. Again, I became pregnant and this time he didn’t know what was going on, but he knew it wasn’t right. It was a partial molar pregnancy. He also handled that very well and answered any questions I had to the best of his ability. He performed my D&C and everything was smooth. I became pregnant with my daughter, again, he was great. Thank God, all was well with her, he took time to do extra sonograms when he had time because he knew my concerns with my past pregnancies. He was the same with her as he was with my son. Her delivery was smooth and quick & he was great. He also recently performed my tubal ligation and was great again. Answered my questions with patience and all around just a great doctor as always. He delivered my niece and was wonderful. He also delivered my little cousin and saved her life, so thankful he was her doctor and God gave him the knowledge to know what to do. I would recommend him to anyone!
My last visit with doctor Ellington was when I had my last period and I just needs to know if he can see to see why my period have been on sixteen days and it’s trying to go off.
I have been going to Ellington since 2007. He delivered all 3 of my children. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr Ellington was great at delivering 3 of my babies and he's about to deliver my 4th one he's the only Dr I will go to
Dr. Ellington and staff were amazing with my last two pregnancies. I highly recommend them.
I gave birth to my first child in September 2018 and the whole process was great from beginning to end. I really like Dr. Ellington and his staff and plan to stick with them for any future pregnancies.
He delivered both my kids, cut and tied my tubes and years latter did a complete hysterectomy, rectocele surgery. I highly recommend him to anyone.
I have went to dr Ellington a few times in the last couple months my first apt we found out we was expecting twins! We were all so excited the office told us they haven't had twins in forever and seemed excited about it as well this was around 8 weeks. I got some blood work done never received results so I assumed everything was fine. First apt went well didn't see any red flags Second apt I was around 12 weeks I got to meet dr Ellington he seemed very nice he told us they were boys we were ecstatic! He said everything looked good he thought they was identical. short and simple visit. A few days before my next apt we was talking to our friends who also have twins they asked what type of twins they was. We had no idea not familiar with any of this thought there was only identical and faternal twins. So i got a picture of the four different types to show the nurse at my next apt. About 16 weeks I go back I see the nurse again first she says she doesn't know if they are boys and she don't know why he would tell me that there's no way of knowing that early, we had already started buying things so we was annoyed by that. long story short she then tells us the twins are Mo-Mo twins when I show her the picture. We found out later that that is the most high risk twins you can have and you'll need to be seen by a specialist and that they don't have a very high success rate of making it. We also learned that you would be hospitalized around 24 weeks and babies deivered at 32 weeks. At this point me and my husband are freaking out this was on the weekend. I call dr Ellington office first thing when they opened Monday morning to try to get a peace of mind or some reassurance. I tell the secretary what the nurse had told us and that I needed to know for sure if that's what they were I could come back in to double check asap (his office is almost a hour from my home) because we really needed to know. I said maybe she wasn't for sure ? The woman told me "if that's what she told me then that's what it is she's very good and knows her stuff but if I was concerned we could double check things in 8 weeks" 8 weeks!! I can't wait 8 weeks if she was right then that will be time to be in the hospital. I was furious seemed like no one there cared about what I as saying and how worried we was. I even reached out to dr Ellington on Facebook because he would never return my calls or was never there when I called he never responded. I now am seeing a different doctor He listened to all my concerns answered all my questions he says that dr Ellington should have looked for the separation early on because that's the best time to find it if he couldn't find it he should have sent me to a specialist to make sure what kind of twins we are having. To sum this up I think the staff down there are pathetic they kept guessing about things like them being identical them being boys and the most important fact of a twin pregnancy when I called back concerned they blew me off it was impossible to get ahold of dr Ellington the entire time we was so concerned he never responded to anything they have no after hours number when I called to transfer all of my things to my new office they never even asked what was going on he's never in the office I think he failed to do the steps he should have and now we are behind I should be seeing a doctor every week until 28 then 2-3 times a week until I deliver They still had me coming every 4 weeks I thank god that our twins are healthy because if anything would have happened it would have been dr ellington and his offices fault this is my first pregnancy with twins we needed guidance that we failed to get there idk if he's just not familiar with twins or what but I regret wasting my first few months there. I do not recommend this office esp if your having twins!!!!!
Started coming here since early 2017 due to my normal obgyn left the area. Well!! Let me tell you this, not a damn thing this office ever got RIGHT when it comes to me, paperwork, visits, billing, results, and take samples. My samples never went to labcorp and its been a month and still cant get a result from the exam. I believe they lost mine, wind up trashing it. When called Robin said I never came. Like I said they cant get a thing right up there. Ellington! You need to fire your entire staff and start with new ones. Obviously, your older workers cant remember what they are supposed to do and make sure it got done. Seriously, fire your staff and bring new ones or hire more staff and give each of them pacific jobs. Maybe this is when your office finally get something right. Your office makes you look bad and apparently not getting nothing said to them by you. Put your foot up their asses and kick them all out.
Ok, well my daughter just delivered a beautiful, healthy baby girl. She did a great job. Delivered her naturally. Can't say much for Ellington though. Did not appreciate the way he treated my daughter at all. He delivered my baby 10 years ago and I liked him so I recommended him when she asked me about a doctor. Of course, now I regret having done so. Anyway, I've said my peace. I won't go into any details but I was very dissatisfied with him. Thanks.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
